farrely brothers aren't that good, they peaked at Kingpin and MMI blew. Dumb and DUmber was hysterical though.
I thought Ace Ventura was funny but my personal favorite Carrey role in The Cable Guy. I did like him in Truman Show and heard that The Majestic (his winter movie this year) is good.

I think he did a great job in Man on the Moon.
I bought right into it from the start,
although I'm not sure if the appeal had more to do with the subject than the performance.
Either way, I cannot image anyone doing a better job.
Ace was his funniest role.

The Cable Guy with Matthew Broderick was my favorite , Ace was next and last but not least his portray of the Grinch in that Christmas movie, "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" is one of my favs as well.

I think that Dumb and DUmber was his funniest role. Ace was marred by the second Ace movie which was so awful and unfunny that the character became so irritating. Also his little dance when he chooses his tux is hysterical.

Although obviously not the funniest, "The Truman Show" was his best role. I never thought I'd get teary eyed at a Jim Carrey movie.

Truman show was the first film to show the diverstity in his comedic and acting skills. His performance in the Truman show led to his success in Man on the Moon and Me Myself and Irene... it also got him away from the one dimentional actor he WAS in Ace and the MAsk... therefore my vote is for the Truman show.

the farrelly brothers, uhm, aren't very creative. they are good at recycling their material though, over and over again.
i liked carrey in dumb and dumber.

i only said that they were uncreative, i never said that going to see one of their movies should be one big consciousness raising session.
