A DCRTV source tells us that DC's XM Satellite Radio is planning to implement a three-second delay in Opie and Anthony's subscription show when the duo returns following a month-long suspension this month. We're told: "That way if they go into a rant about a particular subject that XM may find overly offensive, (XM management) can dump it. F-bombs, live sex, and the like will still be allowed, but no more rants regarding political leaders." O&A got yanked in May after a guest made sexual remarks about Secretary Of State Condi Rice and other prominent women. The NYC-based morning radio pair's free CBS Radio show, heard locally on WJFK-FM, was unaffected by XM's yanking. XM is currently seeking approval on Capitol Hill for a proposed merger with rival Sirius.....

Yes, I seem to remember Opie dumping out a couple of times since they've been at XM. I think both were either because A) someone's name/other personal information were given out and/or B) A guest made a potentially slanderous remark.

There are tons of sources out there. Once XM states that they have reigns applied to the show I won't believe it.

Plus, there is a difference between a political discussion on issues and a person saying on the air that they want to have rough sex with the Secretary of State and the First Lady.

They've always had around a 6 second delay, you could hear it when you called in after talking to the screener. R&F too.

If talkin nasty about political leaders is disallowed at XM we might just hear the first ever XM Dump while CBS decides to air it.

Example this morning on the CBS worst of when Anthony was doin his Regan the talking Corpse bit and he made several references to Nancy Regan being beaten senseless by Ronald. That and a few other tasteless inhuman sexy comments about political figures.

Ill dont necessarily believe it right away. But XM is basically saying that politicians never delve into the areas of depravity that Opie and Anthony are allowed to delve into. I know I am going to get all sorts of feedback that it isnt about that, but it is. They are saying politicians are hands off, which really is bullshit. People DONT listen to Opie and Anthony for political discussions. They go their for dick jokes. And if a politician is part of a dick joke, especially when there dick has been in a few whores they cant talk about it.

I cant fault XM for their stance in light of all that has happened. But I also have to apply a "lets see what happens" mentality. I find it funny that those that tend to be at the top of scandals are suddenly above being discussed on a comedy platform channel.

More people who listen to K-Rock, the more people realize XM exists. More people realize XM exists, more people sign up to XM. Vicious circle, really.

XM wants O&A on CBS, because it's a an infomercial for them.

I understand that O&A on free radio is just a huge plug to listen to them "uncensored" (cause, you know, they can say "fuck" on XM....oooooooooooh) on XM, but I refuse to believe that a multimillion dollar company would take that big of a risk of suspending them for a full 30 days as a publicity stunt.

Let's face it, a lot of people cancelled because of this and aren't coming back (a lot will, but there will be some that won't, and some who had multiple accounts that will only activate one now).

If this really was just a big work, XM is honestly run by the mentally handicapped. Shit, if they had used this time to "update the studio" as has been promised for 3 years now I may have considered believing it as a work...but they accomplished nothing but bad publicity for their company and their employees (O&A aren't going to be looked at very well by a bigger number of the population than before this incident now) and loss of revenue.
