My favorite band as a kid.
As a teen I traveled around to see them, and they were one of the best live shows around. Thanks Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill, my heroes! As for my favorite album: it's tough, but Vol.4 brings back many special memories. The first album is a close second.

Black Sabbath rules as did Smigel's Black Sabbath cartoon on TV FUnhouse (The show) that was a take off of the 1970s cartoons when they made a cartoon out of everything

From Black Sabbath up till Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, I thought they were great. Sabotage was alright, but after that, I don't know, they just didn't do it for me anymore. But they were a great band. I don't think they called it heavy metal back then, I think it was just called hard rock.

I played "Volume 4" today and damn, what memories!
A classic album, one of my faves. Now I want to hang some black light posters and drink some Boone's Farm!

I remmember in junior high school, my 1st taste of Sabbath was when i picked up "NATIVITY IN BLACK", the black sabbath tribute album. From that point i got hooked on the songs and had to buy all the orignals. Been a Sabbath & Ozzy junkie ever since

Today I blasted the first LP..it never gets old.
NORTON IS RIGHT!
DESTROY ALL MONSTERS!
Sabbath created heavy metal as we know it today. They belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Norton is right about a lot of crap. Their best stuff doesn't get ANY air play. "Tomorrow's Dream" is just funky. "Snowblind" may have the best opening riff EVER. They really don't get the appreciation they deserve. The only band I can think of that has more influence on good rock music is Zeppelin and maybe the Ramones and the Sex Pistols. Sabbath kept it grimey while Zeppelin was expanding the minds of the youth Sabbath always kept it gangsta for the headbangers.
Stop asking the Fiend how he feels! He never feels good and he hates you ALL!!

Black Sabbath never gets enough air play. I used to have a copy of We Sold Our Soul for Rock and Roll. I played Live Evil into the ground (even though it's post-Ozzy). Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules have some good stuff on them and Born Again has a few songs worth listening to. I agree with everyone else, though, that the older stuff is by far and away the best.

No ONE understands that when you're PRO Sabbath, you're NOT Anti Zeppelin. It's just the fact that In comparrison, we feel that sabbath was just as good as Zeppelin, and given the same ammount of exposure, Sabbath could have been JUST AS BIG if not BIGGER than Zeppelin. It's just that Sabbath was darker, and not as commercially acceptable.
And NO ONE plays sabbath. That's one BIG reason I NEVER tune in my radio to anything but talk. Why wait for them to throw mw a Sabbath bone? I'll just put in Volume 4, and ROCK!!
And I REALLY HATE Opie and Anthony's attitude toward Norton when he defends Sabbath. He always sticks up for them, they they just laugh at Norton when he doesn't acknowledge Zeppelin or the Who, or whoever as Better than Sabbath. Fuck that. And Opie cut Norton off TWICE last week when he was making a point about Sabbath.
EVIL REIGNS!!!
