Sine they reconfigured the new board, Safari seems to work fine on it for me. I love it!

Safari has been pretty decent with OSX.

apple whores... firefox for the win...
its a shame it doesnt work on vista or i would use it instead of this crappy ie
As an Apple user, I can honestly say it's the worst browser out there for Macs. It'll probably be better than Internet Explorer, but not as good as Firefox for Windows.

I'm thinking the niche market will be those who like Itunes but never tried Firefox. I don't see Safari breaking any records, but I think it's great that Apple is willing to open another app up so that Windows users have another choice.
One thing I did learn today that I don't recall seeing before, apparently Itunes is still a Carbon app? Weird stuff.
And as for the "apple whores" comment, go troll someplace else, this is the tech forum thank you.

yeah and i was making an apple whores statement...
if your on a windows computer and your using anything made by apple, your an apple whore... except if you use itunes, because itunes is part of everything now aday
also is quicktime an apple product? kuz if so rule that one out 2, considering it comes as an install with itunes

I have both Firefox and the Safari on this iMac and they both work well, and I see what you are saying gvac, and thats why I got the Firefox at your recommendation. I was having some slight issues with both as far as the board is concerned before they made the switch, but since then, it seems fine. The text occasionally looks slighty off for some reason, bit not in a bad way like before. I must have done something odd with the settings with Firefox, because I cannot get it to "remember" the log on for sites like this board, and have to log on each time I turn it off and on. Safari doesnt seem to have that "problem".
To be honest, I rarely use Firefox, BlackBird. I'm a Camino guy, and any issues it has forces me to use SeaMonkey.
They're both far superior to either Firefox or Safari.

seamonkey, domonkey? By the way I finally downloaded Camino 1.5, I like it but I wish there were extensions for it. I guess it's not popular enough...
For the past few weeks I've been rolling with the "myfirefox" theme which skins Firefox to look like IE 7 under Vista. I like confusing myself as much as possible, so Camino is right out you see.

already found 6 serious bugs/flaws in the windows version, about 8 hours after it was released.
I have not tried it yet, so I will not pass judgement on anything, just passing on some info

Thanks for the link budday.
In case anyone missed it, this is not a release version yet, it is still being tested. I doubt any serious harm will come from running it (more than likely not going to kill any pc's) but I wouldn't do any serious work with it yet.

I would just not put any CC numbers or bank info into it. In fact, I never do any banking online regardless of my browser.

I fired the Windows Safari up at work today and it crashed almost immediately. It also wouldn't let me edit proxy settings. I understand that it's beta, but Apple shouldn't boast that it's the fastest web browser in existence until they can get the damn thing to work.

Pretty decent so far. I still love my Firefox mostest but I'm liking what I'm seeing from Safari.

I am loving the Safari so far, the tabs feature works great and I've had no problems with videos, web pages definitely load quicker than IE7, all in all Safari is shaping up to be my alternate browser to Firefox.

I finally installed Safari 3 Beta for Mac and omg this thing is noticeably faster then both FF and even Camino. I'm going to try it out for a few days and see how it goes...

Right now every browser is better then IE. I just tried out safari, and it is better looking then Firefox, but more bugs. However, it is better now that I installed the firefox java applet for it on my laptop.
