In the early 80's, the Brendan Byrne Arena was opened by a string of sell-out dates by Bruce Springsteen.

almost 25 years later, it's time for another new arena in New Jersey to be opened. And this time, the other band from Jersey gets the shot.

Bon Jovi will open "The Rock" - the Prudential Center - in downtown Newark NJ this fall.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow for AMEX holders - which, ironically, is a perk of my job.
