O&A Replays Back 6-11-07

I was bouncing around and found this info: "O&A Best of CBS" replays are going to be on Channel 202 starting Monday, June 11. In a nutshell, XM is playing stuff from the last month of CBS shows. Replays are going to go on throughout the day.

I am almost ticked - I wanted another week of all Ron & Fez all the time; I have just gotten used to it. What do you expect though; Earl f@#$ed up the replays so XM probably had little choice but to bring O&A back.

If Earl were a real E.P. he would have done a better job with the Best Of's and would have stood his ground with XM. There is no reason why they couldn't run multiple Best Of's a day except for the fact that Earl took "No" for an answer.

EDIT: And don't get me wrong - I am a big O&A fan. However, R&F could have used this time as an amazing spotlight on their talent and could have drawn more fans to the show. Ron said as much just the other day.

It will be good to get O&A back, although as a primary Ron and Fez fan I will miss hearing them all day, even if Febreeze was spinning ridiculously repetitive best-ofs that did not do the show justice (thanks, Earl).

Ron and Fez should be commended for holding down the fort so well as the only show, some of the time while on Free FM as well.

Of course, more achievement for Ron and Fez somehow equals less reward for them. Second in the market during their first 92.3 FM ratings book? Off the air!! Excelling under crisis conditions on XM? Back to two airings per day at odd hours!!

Not that its a good thing for anyone - but you have to love that Ronnie and Fezzie are getting payed by FreeFm still even though they are off the air. They get to see what its like to steal a paycheck... you know - like Earl does every week.

I too wish we had a R&F channel btw... along with the Virus - so I could switch back and forth between replays. The WNEW R&F that was playing was really great stuff for a newbie (12 months ish) to get to hear. It really highlighted how hillarious the comedy pyramids were...

Anyway, good job by Ronnie helping to get O&A back on at least in spirit earlier.

I know how you feel, but:

1 - Ron & Fez may only WANT to do a 3 hour show. Sure, 4 hrs would be great for the fans, but it's totally up to what R&F want.
2 - With O&A as the "flagship" show, I don't think a better timeslot is in the cards. O&A have always angled for both the morning and afternoon drive-time markets since starting with XM.
3 - If they get to keep the 9p-12a replay that is definitely an improvement. I see that as the strongest possibility out of everything else that has happened.

But I can't act like I won't miss Ron and Fez all day and night. It was amazing.

And now that Ron and Fez stepped up for the company and filled a HUGE void, they get the same reward they always have. Being put right back where they were without any praise or thank you.

XM, CBS, or any corporation don't care about the fans. So you do what hurts them the most...cancel. I did, now I just sign up for the the 3 day free trial every 3 days. When they close that avenue, I'll find an illegal stream. Ron and Fez still get paid, so I'm hurting XM, 12 bucks at a time.

I was really loving the R&F replays during AM drive time as well as the best ofs have been top notch.

So now what do they get? Relegated to second fiddle with one replay (9 pm est) and no best ofs.

If you mean Ron & Fez, it is on at 9:00pm EST and again at 12:00am. O&A are 3:00pm, 6:00pm, 3:00am, 6:00am, 9:00am, etc.
