I caught a matinee of Once (http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/once/hd/) today at the same indie theatre that Ronnie B used to haunt while he was here at WJFK, the Cinema Arts theatre.
A fantastic irish film from John Carney, starring The Frames Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. All the original songs in the movie were written by the two. Loved and praised at Sundance, it's the classic love story about what was, and what could of been, with original music and performances by Hansard and Marketa.
I used to study film and in 1995 managed to see about 200 movies that year, and since then only a few times did I want to go back inside the theatre after leaving and see it again and I wanted to see this one again. Landblasts 9 flaming coconuts out of 10! Has anyone else seen it?
