When I was a kid I was super into Basebal cards. Mackey was my future. I thought he was this player nobody knew about that was going to be huge. So what did I do? Purchased over 1200 copies of his rookie card for around 5 or 10 cents a pop in the late 80's. I thought I was going to be rich. But.....

Anyhow, I still love the guy.

Worst player ever? Come on now. He has like a .261 lifetime avg. Not the worst ever. And I think the season after Carter hung it up, he was batting like .301 or .310? Anyhow I loved this dude. Even if he had that lil throwing problem.
