Not Pasta you yuppie pricks, Macaroni, with sauce (or gravy if SOMEONE WOULD MAKE IT FOR ME) and grated cheese with Meatballs on the side. I miss Raviolis, Fusilli, Lenguini and all the rest. Someone shoot me.

You don't want me to shoot you. I'm a terrible shot. I'd just shoot you in the foot or something, and you'd still want macaroni.

What i have learned is its all about portion control. Pasta won't kill ya you just got to cut down on the serving size.Im down 40 lbs and still enjoy pasta once a week big salad before hand to fill up on ahead

I love mac and cheese. Homemade mac and chez is the best but I'll still eat Kraft Dinner mac and cheese the odd time. I don't think that you can find KD in the U.S. but I'm sure that the RF.net members that live in Buffalo or any other border town know what I'm talking about. It's the ultimate trailer trash meal.

I don't miss it in the least. I am sure to have pasta at least twice a week. Me and/or MsTub make a vat o' SAUCE, put it into serving size containers. and freeze.
Defrost and enjoy a pasta and tuco feast whenever we like.
the boys just love it.

And for the record. For a skinny Irish kid, I make a great sauce.

forget whole wheat, its to cardboardy. try Barilla Plus its like standard pasta but infused with flaxseed and other nutrients.
plus portion control is the key.

when I make pasta now, instead of making the whole pound and throwing out the leftovers, I make just as much as I know I want to eat, and thats it. that way there is no going back up for 2nds, and 3rds. It really helps to weight it before you boil it, that way you know exactly how much you are eating.

Do people in your area say aboot Ramrod? I have never heard any of the crazy accents that americans give us. The only Canadians that I hear say "aboot" and "eh" are from the east coast, like the guy in the Laugh Attack 153 ads that says smart car. The Newfoundlanders have a terrible accent.

Stu, try Barilla Plus. I have not had white macaroni in years, I switched to Barilla Plus when I was making a pasta salad one day and wanted something other than whole wheat penne.

This stuff is great, protein and fiber enriched and such a light texture you do not know you're eating health food.

My fave is rotini with meat sauce. The penne tossed with fresh made pesto rocks, I eat that after long bike rides for a pick me up when basil is in season.

Same here.
I don't know that I could make it an entire week without pasta and gravy.
Crazy talk.
