This one is especially for Swannee.

Prime Rib, New York Strip, Filet Mignon, T-Bone, Sirloin....no matter the cut, you just can't beat a good steak.

I think a great steak is soooooo good because I never have it. I don't eat red meat very often so when you sit down and have a beautiful steak, it really is great.

First Fallon admits to liking chicken more than steak and now this.

Is there something you'd like to tell us, ChimneyFish?

We'll still love you and accept you.

It's 2007 for Christ's sake. Come out of that closet!

Studies have shown that people who have more fish in their diet have a much higher average IQ than people who have a diet with more red meat.

Just sayin'.

Please, who doesn't? Not liking steak is like not liking french fries or popsicles. Steak is the single best entree known to man. You can have chicken or fish and I'll respect you, only because you have the discipline to stay away from the steak that I don't have.

Tonight, I was out with friends, and it was a delicious steak frite with a strip steak (medium rare, of course) and bernaise sauce.

Ah, so good. The guiltiest pleasure.

I could eat a nice medium rare prime rib three times a week & not ever get tired of it. Maybe even switch it up with a nice 24 oz. Delmonico from the Franklin Steakhouse in Nutley every so often. I would be dead within 6 months, but I would die with a smile.

A challenge to all of my fellow meat lovers

From time to time I like to give myself little 30 day "challenges" to test my will power. I'll quit smoking for a month, give up TV, things like that.

Something I've always wanted to try but have serious doubts about my ability to carry it out is to give up meat for 30 days. That's right. No meat. Go veggie for a month.

I don't like too many vegetables and I'm such a meat head that I fear I won't last 2 days, but I'm gonna give it a try. Just as a test of wills, not a permanent lifestyle change.

Any takers?

A.J.

The cornerstone of said event is seared meat.
You BASTARD!

Gvac

Oh I thought it went without saying that this challenge would have to take place well after the grilling season is over Tub!

I'm not a maniac!

See, Greg, this is where we see eye to eye. I absolutely love red meat and if it rots my colon and kills me so be it.

Filet from Ruth's Chris medium rare with extra butter. I'm getting all Pavlov's dog just thinkin' about it.
