Fish Tacos

For the last twelve years or so, I have been a big fan of the fish taco. Corn-tortilla, some deep-fried whitefish, cabbage, sometimes a tartar-like sauce, a pico de gallo, and lime. Dorado makes for good fish tacos. Any good fish tacos on the east coast or anywhere one's consumed?

I've had good ones here and there, mostly in college towns. Can't remember the names of the places right off the top of my head. I made the mistake once of asking for tuna tacos.

Although Ahi tuna is good on a tortilla chip, it may not be good for a taco. Never tried it.

Most fish tacos are made with mahi-mahi, not Ahi.

I would agree, Tenbatsuzen, the fish tacos I had in Mexico were Dorado, or Mahi-Mahi.

I've been on a fish taco kick myself lately. I know it's a chain, but the ones at Moe's southwestern grill are pretty good.

About the best ones we have on long island are at Baja Fresh. Pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

never had their fish tacos (no appeal what-so-ever) but i enjoy maui taco (http://www.mauitacos.com/menu_tacos.htm). there's one across the street from the empire state building.

While I'm here in Siem Reap, Cambodia I get them here. But, as with all of SE Asia, you have to be careful ordering fish tacos. They're likely to bring you a hot dog.
