Hey Buddays,

I recently just bought a Apple iMac and need help getting my programs started. For instance I used Trillian chat client as my instant messager and i also used Paltalk.

Well when i download these programs I just can't open them and an error window pops up and asks me for an application. What do I select if there are no highlighted choices. On my old PC, I just double clicked the downloaded program in the download manager and it instantly began.

I also used Limewire and Ares for downloading and those successful down loads wont open either.

thanks in advance for the advice.

yes it does
and limewire is limewire. they have a mac application as well.
Did you move the file over from the disk image to your hard drive? that might be the problem.

yeah here is a FYI that will help out all the those PC to MAC people. Anything that ends with a ".exe" will not run on a mac.

Also there are a few torrent clients out there for the MAC. Now that Transmission has been updated and accepted by private trackers that would be the way to go. Since it was built especially for a Mac.

You just use them all thru Parallels and you have no problems.

The next version, parallels 3.0 (http://www.macworld.com/news/2007/05/31/parallels/index.php), will also support 3d games. It is not quite out yet, but it will be soon.
