I was sittin in my desk chair and I started to think.....I wonder how the first show back will be like? Theres so many rumors about them being gagged and censored, not being able to talk about the suspension or anything concerning it, or even so far that they might not even be able to curse or express themselves like they normally did. I have a few thoughts about how the shows might run...
1. They dont even do a show on the 15th, its on a friday.
2. The show goes on as normal and all is well in the house.
anyone else have anymore ideas on how the show might go?
edit: or just lock this thread if it stinks to much....I love kittens to be honest....

I think they should disconnect themselves from R&F.

It's probably best if they take it easy and have some sort of contest, for example, a round of Money Snatch, open only to black women. 20 or 30 homeless men watching the fun, locked in the studio with the naked black women. In the background, maybe play a little Wu, and the whole staff chanting "rape those n-word bitches!"

I think that they will kind of mention it on the FM show and really acknowledge the fact that they are back on the XM portion and will thank the fans for everything they did (cancellations, emails, protests,etc...) and then they will tool on E-Rock until its time for line of the day and plugs.

I originally had this thought, but then I remembered they're doing a 3 hour show anyway. The only difference to O&A is that 1 extra hour. So there is no real reason to not come back on a Friday. It's not as if they aren't doing a show at all otherwise.

I think it will be a great show but a little weird. They will not talk about the suspension and they will plug the shit out of the virus tour show that I believe is the 16th. With lots of Comedians in studio.

I think they will have a busy Friday show with comedians and what not, finally do a walk-over, apologize again to XM and all the suits, not make one reference to the suspension short-porch it, leave at 10:30 or so and make the excuse they have to catch a plane.
Either that, or broadcast straight from Jones Beach the whole show on Friday, which would be smart.

I fully expect to be called out by Opie in his Angry Typing Guy voice as "one of those douchebags on the messageboards" and then have Jimmy saying "I hide behind a screen name to express my thoughts" in his whiny lispy voice..
The sad part about this is that I was right the whole time. I said that if O&A made it past Memorial day weekend, they'd be fine.
I (conspiracy) dare say this might have been a publicity stunt cooked up by O&A to protect their jobs when the merger happens to show the Sirius suits how loyal their fanbase is (which is why there was a call for cancellations)

There will ne no show on the 15th. Opie or Anthony will come down with a very serious cold on the 14th and be unable to make it in on the 15th. More importantly the following makes me not care.

not that anyone cares, but I got XM because I am stuck in an office all day. First, it was sports talk that got me through the days. Then, after I discovered O&A, It was them who made my mornings a lot quicker. After that, I found Ron and Fez. I never heard of them and it took a while to be a faithful listener. My days were complete. After a while, O&A got on my nerves. It was the same almost every day. I've been doing radio all my life, we have been together for 12 years, if a caller disagrees they all jump down his throat and do not give him a chance to talk. Since the suspension, I have appreciated Ron and Fez for not getting stale and for not beating a joke into the ground. I listen to O&A on regular radio for only an hour or so during my commute. Then it's R&F replays, usually stuff we all have heard 12 times thanks to Earl, then it's the live show. I hope O&A will be a little different when they come back. Not using dick jokes for 5 hours would be a start.

Now that I think about it, the callers will dip in quality when they get back on XM, since 95% of XM's subscriber base is made up of hayseeds who live too far away from civilization to pick up actual radio stations.
