From Essential Wrestling Newsletter:
Jerry Lawler is back on top again--at least wrestling
-wise. Several sources are reporting "The King" has
struck a deal with the WWF. The former Federation
color man will likely replace Paul Heyman along side
Jim Ross, starting Monday night on Raw. The veteran,
known for his "puppies" scream during broadcasts, will
be taking back the spot he quit in March after his then
wife Stacy Carter was fired. As EWN previously
reported, WWF bosses are desperate to plug the void
left by Lawler which saw Paul Heyman and Tazz taking
up color spots on Raw and Smackdown. Heyman wants
to work more with the creative team and the WWF are
said to be unhappy with the job Tazz did on Smackdown. If this is true, it's going to be an interesting RAW once again. I smel a ratings turn in the right direction.

If this is true, than that pretty much seals the outcome of this weekend's PPV. I mean, fat chance in hell Vince would ever really let someone beat the WWF, even in a storyline, but this pretty much spoils the outcome.
I find this odd, because Lawler was just doing the color commentary for the XWF promotion.
Anyway, if this is true, than good for Jerry. I have to admitt, I kind of liked Heyman and Ross screaming at each other, because I get the feeling that JR and Heyman really don't like each other. But Tazz should definitely be replaced.

Se7en, I told you it was kind of a spoiler if true on the subject of the thread. Is it true?
We shall soon find out. You make interesting points but if this dirtsheet is valid I wonder who else is going to show up on RAW Monday.
You doubt The Alliance would win and turn it into WCW Monday Nitro?!? If Vince wants to move hus show do to the ratings it might just happen.
Who knows what lurks in the mind of Vinny Mac!

If you look at JerryLawler.com, he has denied having an agreement to come back to work for the WWF.
Currently he has a contract (30-45 days) to work for the XWF.
Sorry Lads, but for the time being I don't think The King will return to Raw and Smackdown! anytime soon...
...but you never know. :)
...I tell you what I'd do man, two chicks at the same time man. Damn straight, I always wanted to do that, and I think if I was a millionaire I could hook that up too, 'cuz chicks dig a dude with money...well, the type a chick that'll double up on a dude like me do.

I want Lawler back! Even if it is true or not, I will def. be tuning into RAW this week due to the possible return of not only the King, but of also Ric Flair. They have me hooked this week.
IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

Jerry Lawler's Latest Statement WWF/XWF
11/18/01 - The following is part of Jerry "The King" Lawler's latest statement posted at his official website:
"After Thursday's Smackdown and Paul Heyman's "shoot" interview, I guess a lot of people are assuming he won't be doing commentary anymore. That would leave one to figure that I would fill that opening. Well, all I can tell you is that it is 10:45 am on Saturday morning, November 17, 2001, and I have no deal or contract with the WWF whatsoever. So, what will happen? Your guess is as good as mine. What will happen at Survivor Series? Your guess is as good as mine. Will Paul Heyman still be the announce on Raw Monday night? Your guess is as good as mine. If a call came to me from the WWF could I get out of my deal with the XWF? That's one question where my guess is better than yours. After the tapings Wednesday night in Orlando, I had a long meeting with the officials of the XWF. We came to the agreement that should I be offered a position with the WWF and I chose to accept it, that they would not hold me to my contract."

If it is true do you really think he would give away a hugh storyline like this on his official website? I think Lawler is smarter than that, pues, maybe not... remeber his sad, rant on the Kat and aired his dirty laundry on the net...
Whatever, like The GameHHH said, I'll be locked in this week. It better be good!
