I have a motherboard that I've successfully used in the past. I'm trying to set it up in a new computer. My problem is, I can't get change the "first boot device" for some reason. I was able to do it the first time, but I can't now. The result is, I can't tell it to boot from the CDROM first (which I need to do to install my operating system). I don't have the CD that came with the board anymore. I have the quick start guide, but I can't seem to find the full user's manual online (something I'm usually good at).

Anyone have any ideas of why I can't change the bios this time? I do this all the time on many other boards. This is the first time I've ever encountered this problem.

Generally if you hold down del, it brings up the BIOS menu and you can change the boot order. If it's a different key, it'll usually display this during startup. Do you know what kind of motherboard it is?

I can get to the bios set up. It just won't let me change the first boot device. It's a Soyo SY-KT600 Dragon Plus v2.0. I was able to change the first boot device the last time I set it up. It just won't let me do it now. I see all the options, but it won't let me change the options.

Holy crap!!! I just figured it out. I think it may be the wacky keyboard I have hooked up. Nevermind. Move along.
