Dear Fellow Supporters of Free Speech, Talk Radio and Opie and Anthony Fans:
This coming Friday is XM's investor meeting in Washington DC. Many of us have made our voices heard to XM protesting at CBS studios, we've canceled our XM subs, we've called back because XM has not honored our cancellations, and some have contacted the SEC and Better Business Bureau. Now we can protest directly to XM and their investors in person. Please join us to let them know that:
(a)we want Satellite Radio to remain uncensored
(b) we want Opie and Anthony returned to the Air
(c) we want assurances from XM that Opie and Anthony will be uncensored, as promised
Details we know of are as follows; but plans are subject to change, so PLEASE if you think you can come, email Debbie Wolf at dwolf@peopleagainstcensorship.org. We also need a headcount.
This Friday, May 25th, 8am to 12:30 pm
Westin Embassy Row Hotel
2100 Massachusetts Ave., N.W. · Washington, District Of Columbia 20008 · United States
Phone: (202) 293-2100 · Fax: (202) 293-0641
Don't bother calling the hotel for confirmation, we've been told that they were instructed to tell callers that the meeting has been moved or cancelled, but those who ARE stockholders have been able to confirm that it has not been cancelled or moved.
We NEED to be there, we need to make our voices heard. As our rallying cry over this has been the entire time we are not paying our monthly fees for censored radio, we want 100% uncensored radio, we want the Wild West of Radio back. If Satellite can't provide uncensored radio, what hope does any media have? If you can be there, be there Friday and make your voices heard. We need all of you to come out in record numbers to let XM know just how we feel over this matter.
PLEASE BRING SIGNS, INDICATING THAT YOU WANT OPIE AND ANTHONY UNCENSORED ON XM. There are great graphics and phrase ideas all over the fan boards and the PAC sight so check it out.
If you can't make it to DC but you're in the NY area, please show up at CBS Studios to support O&A (40 West 57th street between 6th and 7th during their FM Show-- 6-9).
Thanks again!

Wish I lived near DC or New York, so I could join a rally but I have joined. But unlike the lovely CaseyElan, we all cannot pack up and leave the mountains to become a fixture on our favorite radio show. Not jealous at all

I wish I didn't have a job so I could attend. You have no idea how many protests this stupid work ethic of mine has made me miss.

Well, that's just brilliant and exemplifies what's wrong here.

Does Mr. Kiff not realize how that would hurt this situation?

I do not believe that one bit Mr. Bats.

I do not believe that one bit Mr. Bats.

I actually do, and here's why:

Although some of them may be misguided, they are standing up for what they believe to be right.

They also stand for the fact that I can say what I want as well. If anyone comes down on me for my stance, well, then I win anyway because they become hypocrites.

I have nothing to lose and everything to gain by supporting the PAC.

Jesus H, with this again... lighten up people, I'm not that stupid. I also don't commit crimes. I shouldn't have to explain it, but it's like one of those fantasies everybody has but would never do... like banging your own wife's sister and mother in front of your wife.

That aside, let's not digress from the topic. Everybody show up to protest!!!

Just got back. It went well. Turnout was not great, about 40, but we passed out literally thousands of flyers to the public, and countless letters DIRECTLY to XM shareholders and management. They definitely heard our message, whether they act on it is another question.

Thanks to everyone who showed up. The guys from 106.7 Free FM in DC showed up to support. It was great meeting HTG and everyone else and seeing Bobo again.

Pray for the people who went to continue the protest at XM HQ.

Here are some pictures from the protest:

Great Job PACers.

Good idea getting the WJFK guys involved too. Sure they have different reasons to be against satellite radio, but our enemy's enemy is our friend.
