choosing between your partner or your friends?

I guess this is kind of inspired by a topic on the Free FM show but i have been thinking about this for a while now since it happened to me and might have happened to you.

I have friends that are woman and i talk to them every day, several times a day. one more so than the others is a great & special friend. but i digress, at one point in my life i had 12-20 friends that were woman that i worked with and hung out with all the time. when i was dating EX WIFE #2 she would fight with me all the time, excuse me of doing things that a stand up person like myself would never do. Eventually i gave in and stopped talking with them. it was just easier that way. i know now that it was wrong.


i am lucky now that Regina isnt like that and understands the relationships i have and isnt bothered by them.
my question to you: have you ever been in a relationship where you had to choose friends of the opposite sex or your significant other?

The women I've been with always know I don't cheat. The ones that have had a problem with me having other women as friends, always ended up cheating on me. If they really know you, and they still don't trust you, then they are the ones that have "that cheatin' heart".

never. i also don't have any problems with jenn having guy friends. although, the way some people throw sex jokes around on here, if some guy chatted like that with her online, i'd shiv someone.

Sailor, if Jenn was posting on here, we would all know it and would show her the utmost respect. Regina has alot of guy friends, it is how we met. her guy friends are the mutal friends that brought us together.

i'm not saying people wouldn't, and i'm not judging other peoples' posts. i would just be uncomfy with some of the banter that goes on between folks here if it was someone i was involved with. hope this doesn't come out wrong. and in no way am i telling/asking/wishing for people to change.

If I don't know the girl at all, then yes, I'm a jealous fucking cunt.

If it is one of Jeff's exgirlfriends, then yes, I'm a jealous fucking cunt.

If I know them (like, if Jeff went out to a rf.net event without me or something), I have no problem with it.

I've never had that problem but I don't think that I would stop talking to friends because of a jealous girlfriend/wife. My wife has lots of guy friends that she converses with and it doesn't bother me (though she did want to invite her first boyfriend to our wedding and I was a little freaked out about that).

A relationship has to be built on trust and if you can't trust your partner, the relationship will eventually fail.

Wifey isfriends with all my friends, she has friends who chose their bf/husband over her. So she knows how fucking terrible that can Be, she dont care if i hang with any of my guy or girl friend, and likewise. We have a good trust going
