yeah, I do.

I make ringtones for my Treo using the following method...

Download "db poweramp music converter"

You'll take your mp3 of choice, open db poweramp, select the mp3 you want to convert. In the top of db poweramp you'll have an option for wave, test, or mp3.

Select wav and convert it

Once you have it converted to wav you can open up microsoft sound recorder.

Open the newly created wav file with sound recorder and rip the section you want as your ringtone (edit tab -> delete before currnet position/ delete after current position).

Save your creation as the name you want.

If you need it in wav you are done.
If you need it back in mp3 then open db power amp and convert it back to mp3.

import file into itunes
go into preferences, then go into importing, and change the output method to wav.

right click the file in your playlist and click convert selection to wav.

this should do the trick.

importing is under the advanced tab in preferences
