I had no idea they were playing at PNC in Jersey!!! I went into a panic when I saw! I cant get to NJ on a wendesday, How else can I buy these? I'm figuring Im probably going to have to blow as much cash as I did for Nassau Coll. and get from a ticket broker, but If I have to then I will. I MUST have front row tickets!!! I always do without shit to save cash, I never splurge, but for this I will.

Any other ideas?

It looks like they are doin that ticketmaster auction for alot of these shows. Youcan bid on tickets and get 1st or 2nd row. I took my wife to Coldplay that way and we sat 2nd row.

Go to ticketmaster.com alot of the dates that have already been released have auction next to the ticket purchasing option. They will go on aucion when the tickets go out and probably end after like 2 weeks. You bid and if you are the high bidder you get the best seats. If someone outbids you your just knocked down to the next best tickets. That way you are guaranteed a pretty good seat.

I went to see them when they came to Toronto a little while back. If it's the same set list you should expect a lot from 10,000 Days and nothing from the first couple of albums.

I've been to a lot of concerts in my life, and it seems as though most of them are such a pain in the ass now. Ticket prices are too much, parking costs too much. But the shows usually end up being worth the effort, but sometimes just barely. I've also now seen Tool eight times, and the last time I had seen them before Thursday they were terrible. It was at the end of the tour for Lateralus and the band just didn't seem like they actually wanted to be there. It was the only concert I've ever left early. I was so disappointed. But Tool is by far my favorite band, so when the tickets went on sale for the tour for what is slowly turning into my favorite Tool album 10,000 Days, I needed tickets.

We showed up late, but made it in time for Tool's opening song Jambi. And as I walked to my seat, I realized that THIS is why I've gone to see Tool eight times. There is no feeling that equals the euphoria I feel as soon as I hear a live Tool song. There's just nothing like it. From Jambi, they went into Stinkfist (never disappoints live) and then into Forty Six & 2. I don't remember ever hearing Forty Six & 2 live, and it was awesome.

Then Tool went into what is my favorite song to see them play live, Schism. The reason I love it so much is simply because the song is in such WEIRD time that you watch the crowd and just see a bunch of super confused heads trying to figure out how to headband, or just move to the song. It's just very funny to watch.

Reading playlists ahead of time, Rosetta Stoned was on some of the lists, and I really hoped they would play it live and they did. There's a middle part to the song that is a guitar solo of just the most basic Tool "sound", and after it concludes, Maynard starts a yell in the background that slowly builds into words over the course of 30 seconds. I really wanted to see how it came across live and it was perfect. From there, they moved into Pushit, another favorite live because they are constantly reinventing the song live and adding new sounds to it. Its also one of my favorite Tool songs, period. So its always good to hear live.

Then, there was a slight musical break followed by what sounded like the bass line from Flood. But there's no way it could be from Flood as they never play it live. No matter how much I've wished to hear it live every single time I see them, they never do. And there's no way they're playing it tonight because they don't play anything off of Opiate or Undertow anymore... BUT THEY PLAYED FLOOD! I almost pushed my wife to the ground, I was so fucking excited. And most of the crowd was excited, as well. It was such a high energy song live. The crowd just went nuts.

After Flood came what is the absolutely most moving live performance I've ever seen from any band. Tool played the Wings For Marie (Part 1)/10,000 Days (Part 2) combo. It took me a while to fully understand the depth of these songs, but hearing it live was tear jerking. In fact, I've read reviews that in other live shows, Maynard has actually had trouble singing in parts because he was so broken up. So songs are to his mother, and the emotion he feels singing them are fully passed through the speakers to the audience.

As the show wound down, I knew I'd hear my favorite Tool song, Lateralus. But I never thought I'd actually see it like this. As it went into the normal 2-3 minute musical interlude in the middle of the song, the drummer for the opening band came out and he and Danny went into a 10 minutes drum-off that was jaw-dropping. I never thought a "drum solo" would be exciting but watching this was amazing. And they'd both be drumming together, or off of each other at times. It was just fantastic to watch.

To close out the show, Tool played Vicarious. At this point, the crowd was still going nuts over what had happened during Lateralus, so Maynard really brought the audience into the song (really the most crowd interaction all night) and had the crowd singing a lot of the lyrics by themselves.

Just a PHENOMENAL show by Tool. It was so good, I really want to go see them again immediately. When the band is on, I really don't think there is a band as good live as Tool.

Some random thoughts from the show. One, Danny Carey has to be the best drummer alive, or at least one of them. The man is fucking amazing. And his drum kit looks insane. Two, I wasn't high or drunk, yet the lasers they used in this show were fucking great. Lighting really has come a LONG way since I started going to shows and raves 10 years or so ago. Third, I don't think there's a single Tool song I dislike. Out of their entire catalog, I don't turn off a single song.

If you're a fan of Tool, even slightly, I cannot recommend going to see them on this tour enough. They are on the top of their game and will not disappoint.
