I Need a Wii!!!

I've been looking everywhere for a Wii but i can't find them anywhere. The damn stores wont even order one for me because they go so fast. How did you Wii owners get them? Did you order online? Were you just lucky? Please help before I cry

either constantly go to the stores, or have a connection. i have a friend whos a gamestop manager so she held one for me when they came in in january. told me i had half an hour to get there, otherwise someone else was getting it.

my advice? check sites like kotaku.com they're all gaming news, and they usually say hey _______ store stockpiling wii's for sale this sunday. btw.. if you get it itll probably be a sunday.

my advice get a friend relative w/e and hit every bestbuy, target, circuit city, what ever other big box store all at opening on sundays. also BE FRIENDLY TO THEM. dont be like oh man yanno my kid really wants one.. no one cares, just be straight im looking for a wii, do you have any? Can you tell me when youll get some, whens the best time to check. theyll get snotty sometimes but.... w/e

Guess I was lucky... went the day after launch when NOBODY was supposed to have any, walked into TRU times square and saw about a thousand of them.

Find out when your local stores get shipments and go early... I personally suggest going into Manhattan and checking nintendo world and toys r us times square

I went to TRU Times Square on launch day and they had thousands. Enough for the midnight launch, all day sunday, and even a few days into the week.

like said above, just watch the websites for the sunday releases or make a friend in a store.

i heard that a lot of best buy's have a few even though they are off the floor. clerks usually keep them in the back for friends or "hot chicks" who are looking for them. that's how gonzo got his anyway.

my boyfriend got ours for his birthday from his mom, i guess she just got lucky. i picked up one for my brother but it was more like my aunt called me up at like 11pm & said "i'm with someone who has wii's is your brother still looking for one?"

Oddly this is the first thread I come across when testing out the Wiis web browser. mental note: Wii is a poor substitute for a computer.

I just kept checking target & when it appeared in the flyer I went there 7 am that sunday morning got #19 out of 24 & thats how I got my Wii.. but there r web sites that have info on when store will have them. Search R&F for Wii & if i remember correctly there is a thread on the websites
