Anyone know what format the video has to be in, and actually gotten this to work? All my music and photos are shared fine, but none of the videos show as available. I added all kinds of video types to be shared (avi, mpg, wmv, mov) none of them show.

Sharing movies requires Windows XP Media Center Edition or Windows Vista.

They locked out normal XP users from streaming video.

No, regular XP users can use WMP 11.

If you use microsoft, you need it to be in WMV. I was using Tversity and it lets you stream any format.

orly?

They added in support for video if you are using Windows Media Player 11? So if I put on this Tversity thing I will be able to stream everything to the TV? Does it run fullscreen like if I was using a WMV native file or is it like a little youtube window? Do the videos look nice when streamed? Is it hard to set up?

I am so trying this tomorrow.

Tversity - full screen, but a little artefacty on encrypted videos. I also had an issue at times with videos ending early, like 5 minutes before the tv episode was over. I also had pausing issues, but I think that was more because I was using my pc while streaming the video.
