Since my dad died a few months ago......I keep in touch with her every day......she lives with my brother up near Albany now.....she says she just wants to have dinner with me that day....I bought a gold necklace....hope it makes her happy.....oh yea....it has a miniture shield of my dad's fireman shield!!!!

we got my mom tickets for a concert that she wanted to go to. Grammy will get flowers, my sister the same, my sister's mother in law will get seeds for planting, same as she gets every year. my mother in law will get tickets to the ballet.

We will have dinner saturday night with the inlaws and then dinner with my family sunday and Grammy will co-co-host the show with us.

i always forget about mother's day and wind up getting the cheapie flowers at the local korean grocery at the last minute, so this year, i did the ProFlowers pre-order thing.

now i find out my parents will be out of town for mother's day!!! since no one will be home, the flowers will probably get sent back to UPS and wind up as some delivery-driver's beautiful mother's day gift to his mom, that SOB!!!!!!!!!

My mom will be in rehab for mothers day. I paid for her to go to rehab so I guess that is her mothers day present for this year. Last year I bought her a new car and she had crashed it and written it off by July, hence the trip to rehab. I think that I will try to send her some flowers so she knows I'm thinking about her.

I'll probably pay for the next three months of my Mom's XM bill. It may not seem very personal, but it's one of those bills she can never remember to pay. Her memory is pretty terrible these days, and she loved it the last time I paid it for her.

Me and my brother are taking my mom and sister to brunch at Chas. Rothmanns. I've never been there, but I heard it's pretty good.

I'm not a huge fan of brunches on mothers day, because it tends to get crazy, but I couldn't think of anything else this year.

I remember when I was 9 or 10 ordering my mom an "Everything Bag" off the TV. Anyone remember these hideous things? It was probably around 1975. I remember the UPS truck coming (which was exciting because we lived way out in the country and never had visitors) and my brother having to dig up money because it was C.O.D. My mom pretended to like it but she never used it.
