I think they also have something there where you are encouraged to work on other things while at work. you can devote 20% of your time to side projects while using googles resources.

When I looked into applying @ google NY, they wanted their Administrative Assistants to have a degree from a "top flight university". If I had a degree from a "top flight university", I wouldn't be a fucking admin!

So what does an admin assistant at Google do? Chalk pool cues? Rake the volleyball court? Walk the boss's dog?

i think the no-cats-only-dogs policy is because cats chew wires. Think i reaad it somewhere.

it could also be that more people are allergic to cats then dogs? or maybe the big bosses just hate cats. That would be my reason.

cats often scratch and if the males aren't fixed they spray.

there's a bunch of reasons.
cats fight way more than dogs.
they're not a very transportable animal. they hate being moved around.
they're not a very trainable animal, and would not listen to commands like stay and what not.
they are very fast and hard to catch if yours got loose.
just not a good idea.

I work with both cats and dogs at the animal shelter I volunteer at, and honestly, dogs are way more fun to be around than cats. I love cats, own one, my chick owns two (yeah I know, crazy cat lady, the thought's occurred to me), but cats are way less tolerable in the workplace. They'd also mix badly with the dogs in the place. And they definitely fight way more...dogs bounce on each other and do the ol' nose to asshole insertion 90 times in 10 minutes with each other, but it's often in play. Cats are vicious lil fucks.

I think he was referring to my cat picture and I don't understand it either, everybody knows that cats don't go on welfare, but they do steal your coupons.
