Man, what did you think this thread was about when you clicked on it?

The question is: What do you present to people, already sitting, when you are heading for your seat in the middle of an aisle? I always give em the old backside. That's just how I was brought up. It never occured to me to do anything else, though I guess there are pluses and minuses to each option.

Today I was at a family Christening and this late arriver had to get by a pew full of people and pretty much stuck his junk inches from our faces, including myself, my wife and kids and some poor old ladies. What's even worse is that the guy had a gay smile on the whole way as he was appologizing. I think he was getting off on it.

So what's the etiquette? What do you do?

like i said, it's just most of the time. i read it in a psych text years ago. i think it had to do with men being innately more aggressive, while women tend to the passive end of things.
