Put the can in the microwave.

No. Don't cook it in the can. Hell... You're not even supposed to store leftovers in the can, so I'm sure cooking it in it is a bad idea.

also i think the inside of newer cans has some protective plastic like coating. I am not sure if it will be able to handle the heat from a stove. i would say try it, but then do not eat the soup

I would certianly not prepare soup in the can.

If you're trying to avoid using a pot, get a microwave safe dish and just heat could soup up in that. Make sure you stir it and put it back in.

But there's still nothing that beats a pot when warming up soup, sorry.

Fat Read Your Thread Title About Preparing Sout, And He Freaked Out, Thinking That Poor Pat Was So Broke That He Was Eating Bird Suet Just To Survive.

Fat's Greatly Relieved To See This Is Not The Case, And That Pat Has Enough Money To Buy A Can Of Soup And Cook It Right In The Can On The Stove. Isn't Having Money Great!

Do you live with Tyler Durden????

I would not cook it in the can if you value your life.
Get yourself a microwave bowl.

Just make sure to take the label off first. This reminds me of when i was little and tried to melt pennies by putting them on the lightbulb of a lamp. This kind of experimentation should end past age 10.

I don't think you will have a problem. I have cooked cans of baked beans over the fire when I go camping and they come out great. Also, I saw someone on the food network, slowly cook a can of condensed milk in hot water. In like 3 hours it became dulce de leche. So, if the cans were coated with something that would harm you, they wouldn't put it on the food network. I think you will be fine. Just take the paper off if at has any, so I you don't start a fire.

The thought of puking into something that once had clam chowder in it makes me ill.

I was thinking about this, I have a better idea. It costs you a bowl, but I think its worth it. Just put the oven on broil and then put your soup in a bowl. It comes out like a dream!
