Here's how Imus can bounce back.
He will do a one man show entitled IMUS-I'M US: A ONE WORLD HEALING EXPERIENCE! He'll take the stage much like Will Rogers and in an aw shucks kinda western drawl tell tales of radio and how he's learned to get along with minorities.
IMUS-I'M US...LIVE!
C'mon. Cheer up. Had this happened a few years back and an apology session held at the NJ Governor's mansion he could have also been labeled a homophobe for calling the former Governor a FA&GOT. What? You expect me to spell it out? These are trying times.

I can just hear the big pregnant pause, and then Ronnie:
'Ya waited on hold the whole time for that, huh? Thinking that was your best line, eh? That was gonna slay, was gonna kill. That's It? That's All?... Ummm... Tommy, Tommy you're up next on Ron and Fez...'

or he just sits in silence and Fez has to go to the news

How about this? He takes the stage (like Will Rogers) spinning a rope. Then says kinda like Will Rogers, "Uhhh Ummm..I've never met a WHITE man Ahhh Ummm I didn't like". The crowd stirs...Then he turns his back. What's he up to? When he turns back he's fashioned the rope into a noose. He then adds..."I've never met a black man ahhh ummm I didn't like either...Just kidding," he laughs. They all laugh. The crowd bursts into applause. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson enter stage left for a big group hug.
Oh I get it. You saw BROADWAY and eagerly clicked it because you love show tunes.
Either that or you've been eagerly awaiting a one-person show...ever since you went to THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES.
"Mammy Mia"?

Springtime for Imus

Sorry but I already have a re-write.
Imus enters stage left and walks into the spotlight...and says, "I just rode in from New Mexico and BOY are my horse's balls swollen."
Then Revs. Al and Jesse (waiting in the wings) enter stage left and sceam, "Did he say BOY?"
Imus then apologizes and they leave. THEN Imus goes into the rope bit.
Again. Not intended as a joke but commentary on the whole mess. But thanks for the early car-crashes. And as for what Ron would say? Don't care.

I'm not sure of the first part but at the end of the play Imus yells "THE ARISTOCRATS!"

Okay...And after Imus finishes the rope bit and apologizes, and Revs Al and Jesse run out for the group hug, they are also joined by Oprah and Condi Rice who enter stage right.
This sandwiches Imus in the middle and he says, "Gee uhhh ummm this is like one of those ahhh ummm oreo cookies hahh yuck....Kinda uhhh ummm one of those "double-stuff" type deals. But not double the uhhh ummm vanilla inside....but double the hard dark cookie outside. Feel as though I'm almost... being SQUEEZED out here."
You get the idea Led37. And as the intro winds down out I've got a few ideas planned for the first act.
By all means. Anyone add their ideas. Or even car crash. Let's get this play written. It's a commentary pyramid.
