he is a fucking monster. probably the most intimidating guy at the plate. if i was a pitcher, he would be the last guy i would want to see.

one thing i hate about the not enough blacks in baseball talk is that most of the young blacks dont look to play baseball when football and basketball are quicker ways to make money
hardly anyone in the media ever brings that up when discussing it, hank aaron kinda alluded to it which is great, but espn, mike and the dog, etc usually never bring that up, probably out of fear that it'll be considered rascist

Have they brought up Vince Coleman's quote, "I don't know nothing about about no Jackie Robinson."

Its strange, I think it does come off as obnoxious ignoring that angle of lacking interest, they also ignore the racial makeup of the U.S. and the racial makeup of the Baseball. The U.S. as well as baseball is no longer mainly a 2 race country. They ask what would jackie robinson think of baseball now, would he be sad that there was such waning african amer. interest? Never mind the latin american influx, they don't matter. Sometimes I swear writers and pundits are so short sighted and overly dramatic.

exactly without jackie theres probably no latin americans in the league or about as scarce as the asians are
and i agree on the no longer a 2 race country, plus there's a lot of inter racial players so are they being counted as african americans or are they only counting the full african americans
