I can't believe I just watched a four overtime game between two teams that I cae nothing about. God I love playoff hockey.

I bailed at 1 am. Good thing too- I heard that VS. pulled the plug after the third OT. If I had invested that much time into a game only to have the network switch to other programming, my TV would have been on the lawn.

You can put huge expectations for my Avs to be looking for a #1 D man as well as bringing Drury back to the Avs. They'll need a new Captain in about 3-5 years too and Drury loved his time in Colorado too. It'll be tough to snag him from the Sabers, but will they pay him as much as the Avs would be willing? I know they'll have over 13 million to work with if they buy out Theodore and that means they'll be very active.

And how about those first two OT games on Wednesday. I watched them both and still can't believe how many shots Luongo faced, and how lucky that Shark was that San Jose ended up winning in OT. Clear the fucking puck. In fact, they had multiple chances to clear the puck in that series that ultimately ended up with Nashville scoring a huge goal. And do games ever end in one OT!? It never seems to happen.

Friday, I was shocked on how stupid Holmqvist was at the end of the game against the Devs. Here you go, take the puck bc I don't really want to tie it up! What a bad play at the end. If any goalie deserves to sit, it's him, not Kari. I know Kari's 4th goal was a bad rebound, but he did stop the quick start of the Rangers being outshot 10-5. The first one was a nice redirect by Jagar and it really can't be blamed on him. Also, Atlanta and Kari never played a playoff game and some jitters and stumbling are to be expected. I'm not a big fan of moving to Hedberg, win or lose. Kari's been your man all year, and he's your future as well. And did he not answer and give his team a chance to win by shutting the door in the 3rd?! I thought he did, and it'll hurt his confidence a ton with this move so I'm really not a fan. Sure Hedberg played well in his last matchup against the Rangers, but I think Lehtonen is your horse and you ride him. Look at how the Rangers stuck with HL last year win or lose. Sometimes your really setting up confidence and even next year. I'm sure you'll never say that, but pulling him is a weird thing especially since Hartley already said Lehtonen is probably right back in net for game #3. Not a fan of the move. In Buffalo, no big surprises.

There's also a certain team in Washington that probably has more cap room than any other team....I look for us to be HEAVILY into the Drury Sweepstakes. Souray would fit well here too, as our PP has lacked a good QB since Calle Johansson retired, which was a while ago. I would love for them to make a run at Ryan Smyth too.

this was something pretty cool that happened tonight (besides the sabres loss which sucks). so at about five i decided to head down to my brothers place to watch the sabres game tonight. i decide to wear my jay mckee black and red sabres jersey, which i have not worn since he signed with st. louis last year. after i get to my bros place and have a few beers we decide to go down to the arena to check out the party because the sabres put on a party with cheap beer and hotdogs outside during the playoffs. it turned out to be a pretty fun time and we decided to watch the game at the bar right around the corner instead of his place. so it's the third period and jay mckee walks into the fucking bar! im like what in the fucking shit are the chances of this happening? so i found a pen from my cousin and get him to sign my jersey. and he signed it big all the way up the number on the back. it was pretty cool cause there aren't too many mckee jerseys floating around to begin with so he had a huge grin on his face when i came up wearing his jersey asking for his sig. he was a really cool guy and shot the shit for a few minutes.

i just can't believe on all the nights i decided to wear the jersey i get it signed. i was pretty pumped about that. pissed about the loss though...
