Ireally wish we would keep Mason at goal. Thomas is getting older and slower and still not 100%. Shots he misses he should not. Mason was hot for so long and now they have gone back to startin Thomas.

Dont get me wrong he has done a great job for a long time but with Chris being young and faster they should keep him in.

Wild just scored on a power play.1-1

That Forsberg trade was huge for Philly- I liked what I saw from the team last night, despite the loss. They were playing with an attitude I've not seen from them in years. Bravo, philly. You may yet be a year or so off, but I like the new direction.

That being said, F.U Philly! 6-3 eat that losers! Last night was kinda like kicking a retard. Go Sabes!

And BTW- Umberger is either an idiot or a nancy-boy. It took him three games to either figure out what a "51" looks like or to work up the nerve to do anything about it. I'm leaning toward half-a-fag.

My preds are up 5-4 but TV is trying to give it away.

Holy shit.....What a game by the Sabres. Really felt like old time hockey. I'm so emotionally drained.

Had a little bit of everything....an injury depleted team whose captain (Chris Drury) gets taken down, which triggers a huge brawl and huge screaming argument between Lindy Ruff and Bryan Murray that gets entirely on air...Both goalies get game misconducts...Local boy Pat Kaleta gets his first point...Clarke MacArthur gets his first NHL goal....Sabres win in overtime shootout

I am so impressed with everyone on this team right now. I just hope Chris Drury is ok.

From what it sounded like, Emery started skating down because he is one of toughest fighters on the team and Buffalo had its tough guys out there. I've seen Biron before in street clothes and he's really not big. I guess he's pretty tall, (like the low sixes) but he's lanky as hell. Biron skated down because, well, you're supposed to when the other goalie comes in in that situation. Biron just said that he basically hung on for dear life and tried not to get punched in the face....yeah he's a puss. Not to mention that in a fight between a white goalie and a black goalie, I never bet on the white goalie.

Leipold is shipping in 20 million gallons of Visine to flush the GEC and get the red out!

7. They make more excuses than Lee Iococa.

6. Chelios and Schneider are still looking for walkers that have skates attached.

5. When they hit the ice, they look like a convention of department store Santas

4. The 8 legs of their octopus equals their cumulative IQ.

3. The color of their uni’s matches the shade of their lipstick.

2.
Time for the Q's got to go chant!

#3 power play in the NHL, #2 scoring team in the NHL and he can't even see the problem isn't the offense! I really can't take this fucking bullshit any more. He continually pushes his D to jump into the play when they can hardly take care of their back yard. He continually tells his D to focus on blocking shots when it gets people injured, takes players out of position and really fucks up the goalie on deflections a lot! How about this, check a fucking player! Rub a guy out on the boards, don't stick check, don't fall to the ice, clear the fucking crease and protect your goalie and players. Wolski got hit WORSE then Drury and the Avs did nothing at all! The league didn't even penalize or fine Conroy either. It was a hit from beind, to the back of the head, away from the puck at full speed. Good call NHL! And to make matters worse, it was the 8th place fucking team the Avs are chasing! It's no wonder the Avs are the second least hitting team in the league and Q does nothing to change it. And let's not break up the only two D who can actually move the puck now the Leo is gone. Clark and Skras should have been split a long time ago. And Leo is now lost for a bunch of games once more due to a blatant slash by his old team, Calgary again! I'm fucking pissed but not delusional. Sure it might have meant a better chance and more playoff drama since Wolski would have been a huge factor in the last three losses since he's great on the shootout and they've lost every one since he's gone.

Rant done. Fuck!

As an ass with a pipe dream of taking my college career to the NHL, I will weigh in on this. Basketball is the only sport that comes close to hockey with the athletic aspect. With that being said, not many people could handle the demands of this sport. Forget the endurance. I defy anyone to pull a two minute shift with non stop play(two minutes is even rare) I will stop here for now. I just don't feel like getting started.

ESPN wasn't giving the sport the repect they deserved though. They were always burried on ESPN2 and would get bumped for baseball. Even though I do not agree with OLN/VS network, I understand them going with a channel that wanted them a their main product. ESPN also wanted way too much money. Considering that they got Monday Night Football, ESPN didnt care if they lost hockey. As for rigging the draft. That is why hockey is the gentlemans sport. No cheating to make a situation better. It may not be the smartest thing, but hockey doesn't jeoparize their values.

And as far as the not cheating to make you sport better... Sometimes its necessary to some evil to achieve a greater good... I am not saying do it a lot. But Crosby is a talent that does not come along too much. He is essential to the success of the league.. Like when Gretz moved to LA... This kid needed to be in a big time city.

I think whats getting lost is this. Kevin, the NHL doesn't have a lottery like the NBA. They can not arrange it for a team to get the number one pick. If they could do that, the Rangers would have been picking no.1 that year, much like how the NBA rigged the draft for the Knicks to get Ewing. It goes by record, so it is impossible to happen.

It's that kind of thinking that makes the league less competitive and more boring anyway.

The problem with him going to a big market team is that a lot of those big markets couldn't give a shit, and the presence of Crosby wouldn't really help all that much. Nobody in LA gives a shit. The Devs and Islanders never fill their respective arenas. With the Islanders its somewhat understandable because they kind of blow (and they're considered a small-market team anyway), but the Devils are now and have been for the past 10-15 years one of the better teams in the league. If they aren't selling out now, why would Crosby change that? It would be the absolute worst if Crosby went to Chicago. Nobody there has cared about the 'Hawks in years and they frequently get outsold by their minor league franchise. Getting Sidney Crosby couldn't really erase 20 years of, with a few exceptions, utter shit and possibly the worst ownership in professional sports.

It might have been best if he had to go to a big market to go to - say, the Leafs. Not that they need any help selling out tickets. I guess Philly would have been okay too, except for the fact that I hate them.
