By the way, I've agreed with Don Cherry for years when he says that if the NHL wasn't so worried about stopping fights, we'd have a lot less of this cheap shit.

If guys knew they had to drop the gloves and square off they'd think twice before doing something dirty with the stick or shooting a puck at someone.

Exactly. I may hate Tie Domi, but he would always do something with the intent of backing it up.

i play in the molson league at holiday/leisure rinks on thursday nights. i would love to join another team if you know of any teams up there in need of a goalie. my brother plays goalie too and fills in for the P 22 team up there. not sure if its the same league as you cause they have so many up there.

Starting to find that crowd anthem singing gimmick hacky. Edmonton started it then Vancouver stold it, then Ottawa stold it again. In Ottawa it was awkward but today when Anaheim stold it again it was definatly the most awkward, barely anyone was singing, they were all caught off guard.

I'm glad that the Ducks didn't get called for goalie itnerference cause Emery got bumped at the edge of his crease when he bumped Getzlaf. Yeah, I'm still bitter about the goalie interfence no call on Brodeur.

one of the greatest things in sports to watch is the Cup being lifted (unless its the shitty Rangers). I have zero interest in either of these teams, aside from Scott Neidermeyer winning another, but im still going to watch these final minutes. the pure joy on the players faces when the buzzer sounds and theyve won the Cup is something every sports fan should appreciate.

I agree that it's a special moment, but I just can't watch tonight.

Something about Lord Stanley going to Anaheim just seems so very, very wrong.

I'm really happy for Teemu, he's been my favorite player not named Ray Bourque.

Yeah, I have always liked him. Very happy for him

Teemu's crying. I like that.

Bettman was quite chatty, wasn't he? When the Rangers won, he said less than 20 words.

"Well New York, your long wait is finally over. Captain Mark Messier, come get the Stanley Cup."

Neidermayer couldn't get the cup away faster from bettman. Bettman had a look on his face like, "No, I just wanted a picture, go on, you take it. /norton"

As a photo buff, I like the story of what Neidermayer did with the cup.

One of my favorite memories of all time was watching 94 game 7. It was the last time I hung out with all my high school friends. One last time.

apparently it is the end, they were discussing it with like 3 minutes to go. its a nice way to go out, and i agree they should let him celebrate. deal with those details in the morning.

So happy to see Teemu raise the cup. And somewhere in the mid-west, Paul Kariya gently weeps.

Same league, but my team is one division lower than the P 22's- Red Wolverines 2-0-1 so far this season. We took the season last year, but fell short in the playoffs. We've got a goalie, but I'll keep you in mind if he's ever not able to make it.

You interested in pick up games also? I know of a couple around town. And an extra goalie name is never a bad thing.

Bettman is a stutterin mutterin prick. You'd think the guy would stay away from the sauce until after he's made his babblings.

Bettman is so damn annoying and he has no neck. If you have no neck you should at least be clever and entertaining.
