i agree that it could be inconclusive because we did not "see" the puck crossing the line. but, the last instant the puck was seen was so close to the line and lundqvist's pad was still moving back before it came forward. plus, with the angle the camera is on the net, it doesn't give a good enough view. yeah, it may not have been "conclusive" evidence, but it was in the net.

i talked to a friend earlier about this, why is the only view versus show the over the net view. they didn't have any other cameras on the net to show?

Fortunately for the Rangers the call went in our favor. I probably would have been livid. I know I've gotten fired up at calls all year and especially in this playoffs I've seen the refs really bungle shit all the time. Hell, I was pissed the other day when they disallowed the kicked goal, but don't hate on the Rangers for what the Refs and Toronto call. Its not like they're the only team getting calls in their favor.

That being said, to me it looked like a goal, so it happened to benefit the boys that there was no conclusive proof that it wasn't. Does the review system need to be looked into to prevent this kind of stuff? Probably, but thats a convo for the off season.

Yes we are. I have played D from the beginning. I just love knowing that i can shut down the pace of a game by stopping a great scorer. I use my slapper everyonce and a while, but I would rather take a shot in the thigh and save a goal, then score a game winner. Must be why Ken Daneyko is my favortie of all time

They're terrible. If they played like they did in the first period they would be kicking ass. Instead, they are down by two and cannot do anything with the puck. After watching a replay of the game, I mad some observations about the final two minutes or so of the game. In now way does this excuse the terrible play of the Devils who were outmatched through 42 minutes of the game.

The play where Emery was able to grab the puck and Gionta couldn't get too the puck because he was knocked down should have been a penalty on Emery for tripping. His stick blatantly tripped Gionta.

The icing no call at the end of the game was in fact an icing. How the refs fucked it up is beyond me.

With that being said I will now hope/pray/wish that somehow the Devils resign Scott Gomez, though I doubt it happens, and root for any team besides the Rangers and Senators.

it was a great series. the rangers are a solid team and i think will only get better next year. sean avery does need to learn to back up his mouth though, he was a non-factor all series.
