People actually pay for that? I always just go to certain other sites that print what the insider info is. I won't go to or listen to Fox Sports for two reasons. Out of Bounds, and the fact they employ Tim McCarver.

No, he did Around the Horn first, then left ESPN to start his own show, I, Max on FSN.

i haven't signed up for insider, but it does also include a sub to their mag. really not a bad deal. also, there's plenty there without the insider.

He's on 1050 from 10 to 12. He stole Ron and Fez having animals fight each other. He even had a tournament for it during Final Four. He's pretty smart and funny at times.

Funny enough, I believe I just saw an add on DTV for a new Fox Sports News Network?? Perhaps it's a dream, bc I'm sick of the Red Sox/NY Yankee/Met MLB coverage mixed with the daily Barry Bonds report and the TO report during the NFL year. The other network that tried to compete was CNNSI I believe. It wasn't bad, but really wasn't better then ESPN at the time. With no comp, ESPN's Sportscenter is so overloaded with bullshit highlights such as the "ultimate highlight reel" (i think that's what it's called) that they usually don't even cover all the games that were played that fucking day. You can watch ESPN News and see the same five games and stories in the middle of the fucking day on the weekend. It's as if these shows now mirror music radio stations and are hardly worth it of late. I really go to the internet and other source to be truthful and Foxsports is definitely one of my favs.

And I can't even come close to telling how much I miss an nhl dedicated show since it's been covered by OLN/VS. They truly need an NHL Tonight type show in order to get people turning in everyday to the channel, bc I believe even real NHL fans still don't know where the channel is. It really should have been a stipulation in the TV contract the NHL and Versus signed. And let's face it, a daily 11pm show based on it's top sport should have helped put it on the map. Granted it's the #4 sport of late, but it's a core audience similar to Cartoon Network's Adult Swim punks like me!

That show is awful.

But given the alternatives, especially what's on ESPN these days, I can't really knock it too badly.

In general, I watch a whole lot less sports stuff than I used to because nobody ever seems to know what they're talking about. But when I do, it's usually local, or PTI.

Spoon, the 5 minute segment with Barry Melrose on ESPN news isn't enough for you? Gotta agree, miss NHL tonight

I can't watch Fox Sports for two reasons. As stated above, I can't stand McCarver. He was tolerable as a color guy when I was younger and still learning the game. But now it's a shock to see how pompous and just flat out wrong he can be in his explanations and over-explanations.

The second reason I can't watch Fox Sports is it reminds me of Sports on Fox. Their football pregame is terrible. Joe Buck is as wretched a play by play guy as Tim McCarver is a color man, for football or baseball. And don't get me started on Jeannie Zalasko.

However, that being said I will always, when flipping through, stop on Ms. Summer Sanders.

My wife signed me up since I want a subscription to the Mag and it is a pretty good deal. If I didn't want the Mag though, I would be pissed about not being able to read the stuff. I can't watch Fox for McCarver and Buck either, also, I think the Best Damn is the Worst sports show on television. I just can't stomach it. My sports programming is reduced to PTI and Baseball tonight.

Any of you been witness to the horribleness that is Fox Sports Radio? We just had the Big sports station in Boston expand out into western Mass, and before that the local sports statioin was a FSR affiliate. Absolutly horrible. Not that ESPN radio is better but at least I could stomach Mike and Mike if my XM happend to crap out.
