Yup. There's no real need for it any longer.
With the leagues themselves now owning their own networks (the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB all have their own networks), not to mention all the Fox and CBS college sports channels, and hell...even the SEC and Big 10 networks, there's just nothing for them to show other than old episodes of SportsCentury and other assorted junk. I honestly can't remember the last time I even watched the channel.
Its a shame, because it started out as a really great idea, but now its past its time. And to be honest, it NEVER did anything as good as the NFL network did with its Super Bowl Champions series, and always chopped up games terribly.

Only time I ever watch this channel is when the US men's soccer team plays an away game. Since they can't get an HD feed, ESPN always throws the away games on Classic.

I don't get it anymore. I'm not paying for the shitty sports package.

East Side Dave and his videographer are the first to call out message board haters writing mean-spirited posts under the veil of anonymity and he prank calls a call center.
Dave has the freedom to call out his haters at work. If the operator threw some humor or anger at Dave, she'd be in a heap of trouble. It is a lose-lose situation for Dave.
If that operator told him off, he could complain to her manager and get her in trouble. Most of these companies forbid their employees from disconnecting a caller so they just have to take the crap the callers give them, even when the callers are absurd or obviously a soundboard. On average, my office received three Jerky Boys/Captain Janks-wannabe calls a day.
Dave McDonald is a brave, brave man.
Did he remember to inform the operator that he was recording their conversation?

Call center work got me through college. I defend them like Dave defends waiters.
