I agree 100%. It should all be discussed in MLB thread. It gets confussing to see which thread I posted in and which responses. I know there are a lot of yankee fans, mets fans, sox fans etc but those threads all have talk about the same teams so just keep it in 1 thread!!!

There's only one team season thread that counts and that's THIS (http://www.ronfez.net/forums/showthread.php?t=58722) one.

i don't care about a girls softball team, much less i care about a cincinnati reds thread. POST IN THE MLB THREAD!

is it really that hard?

Seconded for the Birthday threads also.

Judging by the size of each individual team's thread, by the end of the season a solitary MLB thread would be about 270 pages.

Besides, I don't want no cheese-eating Brewers fan wasting my time with how Bill Hall is the second coming of Robin Yount.

Let the Royals fans drink at the Royals Fountain.
Let the Mets fans drink at the colder, shinier, twice-cleaned daily Mets Fountain.

btw, the mets fountain you speak of, was just pissed in by snoogan's car.

I Understand your Point, but , there are people who discuss the MLB as a Whole , News all fans can relate too.

Then there are People who just want to talk about their team (Lets go Mets) .

I dont want to Make an Antoix Burgos reference in a MLB thread, most people would be like who the Fuck is He . It would fit in a Mets thread.

Finally a Trenton Thunder Thread would be Brilliant

Go ahead. Of course there are no more Columbus Clippers so it may be a very short thread.

i see no problem with yanks, mets and red socks getting their own threads. blue jays, silly. i might start one for the bucks if they keep on this streak. btw, don't you think it's a little ironic to start a baseball thread to complain about superfluous baseball threads?

reillyluck
04-06-2007, 07:47 AM
im starting a thread to complain about people who just start threads.

I have no use for the sports threads, but if there's activity in them, why should the be closed? Why should people be scared to start threads if others are willing to reply in that one thread?

I mean I get what you're saying, it's annoying as hell to see 20 open threads about all the different dogshit sports teams out there, but next someone's gonna complain about every open thread in the Wrestling Forum, then Get a Life, then the Tech Forum.

"Don't open a thread about your computer problem, just top the "Computer Problems" thread" is what I can hear now.

Just don't go in threads you don't like.

could we have a tread about how men suffer from "periods"?

LOAF
04-06-2007, 07:59 AM
Ok but for baseball can we have a thread for new york teams and one for the rest of the teams. I really don't want to talk about the mets or yankees! I hate them both and hear enough about them all fuckin day on sportscenter.

You can put the gay redsox in that thread too.

How about unilateral disarmament?

I propose a ban on individual MLB team threads only if a ban on birthday threads is put in place.

Otherwise keep the filthy Yankees fans out of the Mets thread.

The only time it bugs is when the Red Sox/Mets/Yankees fans start spilling their crap over into the general MLB thread. Those teams have very busy threads...why the hell do we also need to hear the same crap in the thread for the rest of the teams? Keep it where we can easily avoid it!

BoondockSaint

I say we take it a step further and have a thread for each player. I'm gonna go start an Endy Chavez thread right now.

I think this was more of an issue in the pre-XM days. Now that there are people from all over the country on the board, there is going to be a lot more regionalism being represented than just the Tri-State and DC areas. I think individual team threads are a good way for these new members to find other people near them. Besides, I post links in the Yankee thread, Bulldogcakes finds stuff on Mojo's cubs -- it's pretty evenly balanced with people sharing/commenting in the different team threads. And let's face it -- the Yankee thread is more a blog anyway.

Let's see how things work out for a while and then we can readdress the policy if there's a problem.

I say you all just stop complaining like a bunch of canyon cunts and write in your respective teams threads. If you are an Mets fan write in there. If you are a Yanks fan write in there. If there is news that impacts the WHOLE of MLB than write it in there.

Lets face the facts, the five teams we will more than likely see threads for are the Mets, Yanks, Red Sox, Nationals, and Orioles. Beyond that is whomever is a fan of that. Ron and Fez now have an audience on a national level thanks to XM and people are going to write about there teams. So I say shut your fucking mouth and let people write about whom they want to write about.

FIN.

There's really no reason he shouldn't. It's also nice that they have him cheap through 2008. That said, if he's not ready to at least pitch as a #5 by the end of this month, something is seriously wrong.

That is incorrect, sir. When I was a catcher in Little League, I pretended I was my favorite Cub, one Mister George Mitterwald. And who can forget little Jose Cardinal flying around the bases with his afro, or first baseman Pete LaCock, who had a strange name and a famous father.

5 points if you can tell me who the father was - WITHOUT GOOGLING.
