Hey, what the hell, everyone else seems to have their own thread. The fricken Brooklyn Cyclones have a thread for Cripe's sake!

Anywho, look for the the girls to make some big strides this year. Just last Saturday they began to master the time honored skill of dribbling the ball for four feet and then passing it to a teammate two feet away. If they keep up this level of commitment they'll be sure to bring home their participation trophies, that everyone gets, at the end of the season.

In particular, keep an eye on Catherine (third from the right), who is definitely showing signs of taking up the mantle and becomming the next Mia Hamm, minus the marrying a Mexican shortstop part.

Well, the girls had another great practice today. Only three girls couldn't make it the full hour and had to leave early due to the extreme cold. It's only their second practice and the girls are already in mid-season form. During a simulated game they played to a scoreless tie, with no shots on goal by either side. Just like the pros!

Next Saturday morning is team picture day so anyone interested should plan to be at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds at 9:00 am, as the girls will be free to sign autographs after the photo session.

Below is a photo of the girls perfectly executing the classic "Everbody bunch up on the ball" technique that served Brazil so well in the 1958 World Cup. Notice my daughter, Catherine, off to the left as she craftily lulls the other girls into a false sense of security while she checks on the toy snake that she has in her jacket pocket.
