I hope the NHL changes that stupid rule where you get penalized for dumping the puck over the glass if it's in the defensive zone! They need to drop that rule.

I also hate the instigator rule, that has to be the biggest piece of pussy making I have ever seen. I hope Bettman chokes on a pretzel in the playoffs and slowly suffocates while all traditionalists look in amazement chanting "Karma fucker" in the Yankees starting line up tempo.

I think he should go back to the NBA and ruin that sport instead.

I also hate that they need to call a diving penalty and a hooking/ tripping penalty at the same time... It's one or the other you prick! Either he dove or the guy hooked him! You can't have it both ways!

I also hate the new Jerseys and the new nets that light up when a goal is scored. There's a line in the ice that will show if the puck passes, I don't need to see lights! This isn't a game of lights and fireworks; It's a game of blood, glory and the occasional dangle.

Amen Ramrod. I've been saying for YEARS that the NHL has to understand one thing - hockey will never be as popular as baseball or football in the United States, but that's OK. It enjoyed an incredible growth in popularity about 10 to 15 years ago, but it's been on a steady decline ever since.

The answer isn't trying to change the game to attract casual fans, it's trying to reach the core audience and let it grow naturally. With proper marketing of the young stars in the game, people will come out to the arenas and tune in on TV. The whole shootout and a point for a "loss" is obscene and has done more harm than good for the game, as has the pussification of the sport.

i haven't seen the light-up goal. doing a google search, i found www.litnets.com. won't these affect the rebound of shots that hit the post or crossbar? i prefer with the red light over the goal judge's booth.
