Error Msg on Messenger

Let me kick this off by saying we had wireless internet hooked up about 5 days ago here finally. We had no internet before this. My browser works sometimes but I cant cant get my messengers to open and I can't download anything. When I log into my MSN I get a pop-up with- error code: 80072efd - They Pakistani guy that installed the net actually got my browesr to work but couldnt get this mysterious firewall blocking my messenger to go away. he did the google thing and tried for an hour but no luck. Also when i try to download new things like aim , nothing happens even after it says its been downloaded, and my myspace messenger always tells me i dont have an internet connection eventhough I do. Someone from here always seems to help my in these situations so I hope this time is no different. Thanks in advance
