My sister makes a cake, that's a giant three color cookie (those rainbow cookies you get at bakeries). It's three layers of marzipan cake and apricot jelly. It's covered in chocolate ganache. It's some bad ass shit.

in between layers are peaches and thick caramel
the outside of the cake is merangue.
then topped with whipped cream and caramel

THey highlighted a store in the city called "The little pie shop" THey made a Mississippi mud pie that looke awesome. YOu can buy stuff and have it delivered. That 10" pie costs 55 DOLLARS !!! PLUS SHIPPING !!! THey can shove that pie up their fuckin asses

It is. Most Latin countries have some variation on the Fruit/Yellow Sponge/Meringue thingy and they are delish. A lighter version of a shortcake. Great summertime dessert.

You guys are all missing the obvious answer here: Lemon Coconut Cake. I can't get enough of it! I also love ice cream cake and because I am a summer baby and because more people like the ice cream than the lemon coconut I always get it for my birfday.

I have never had a really great red velvet cake. Only the kind that is inside coldstone's cakes and it is decent I guess, but something happens to cake when it is frozen. It loses it's spongy magic.

I also look forward to election day because the school I vote at always has a bake sale and some of the PTA moms make yellow cake from the box in the store with vanilla icing and sometimes some magic fall treats like candy corn or sprinkles on it. If I didn't have so much shame I'd eat the entire cake. D e l i s h !
