i'd also like to add that King of the Hill was so much better (and more painful) than The Simpsons tonight.

I finally found Milhouse on E-bay. Lisa was EXPENSIVE-- apparently there was some sort of "Lisa shortage" and I had to pay blackmarket price for her!

that was supposed to be the season premiere?

it wasn't very funny, but then again, i really wasn't paying attention.

c'mon kids, the simpsons may not be in it's prime but it is still the best show on t.v. 12 seasons? show some respect to the best show of all time. and king of the hill was defintely not better.
that's just my opinion, i could be wrong

it's true,
it's damn true!

Although the Halloween episode was disappointed (except the Harry Potter parody) Sunday's season premeire was GREAT.

Simpsons is the best show on TV.

Simpsons is the best show of all time, no doubt. But comparing individual seasons there is no doubt that there are better shows than The Simpsons on television when comparing current seasons.

Great show but not the best episode ever, PERRYNOID.

It had its moments with the rope slapping segment but I could mention other episodes I've enjoyed of Homer Simpson and family.

The best 3 simpson episodes were- the Tomacco one, the where they go to NYC (they had the twin towers in that one, they shouldn't change that one), and the one with Frank Grimmes (Homer called him Grimey). I didn't see the new one, haven't had the time.

Trying is the first step toward failure.-homer simpson

I didn't see the new one, haven't had the time. The only one of those three that possibly makes a top 15 is the Grimes one. the NY one is good but not one of the best and the Tomacco one is lame but not the worst.

The one w/ Grimes is a good choice as best ever.

And although the Simpsons is the best show ever IMO, the past couple seasons have been pretty weak.

(and this past Sundays King of the Hill was a lot funnier than the Simpsons)

I was thinking about The Simpsons last night. Remember the episode were it was Lisa's birthday and a fake Michael Jackson came into town and no one thought he was really Michael because he was white?

Maybe Michael watched that and thought being white was a good idea?

i unfortunately missed the premiere, but the best two as far as i am concerned

1. when they put maggie in the ayn rand day care center

2. when homer becomes an outsider artist and pisses off Jasper Johns

i'd like to add that tonight's Simpsons was actually pretty good. Even though the hunting ending was pretty weak, the Cocktail parody and Homer's robot was excellent. This is also the first time I realized that Barney has actually undergone a complete change, one of the few characters in the series to actually have done so without dying. Also Homer being Fonzie was just another scene that made your stomach churn in a good way.
