View Full Version : Lost without my Wireless Connection

I have been extremely spoiled the last couple of years. I've kept my laptop in the living room, connected with a wireless card/router. Anytime my chick and I watch a movie or TV show and want some info on an actor, IMDB is right there. Or maybe we ponder some great mystery of the world. Bam, Wikipedia!
However, since Wed. my wireless has been "down." I'm not sure what the problem is (I hope to have it fixed soon), but it's killing me without it. I can't believe how addicted to easy internet I am. I can't listen to the FreeFM show, can't look things up, can't play on Myspace/Weeworld/Ronfez.net without sitting at my chick's desk on using her desktop.
Again, I hope to rectify this situation soon, but until then, keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

it sucks that we get hooked on these modern conveniences so easily.

I have a wireless card I can let you try for the laptop .... if it's not the laptop itself and it's a problem with the wireless Router you can get a new one pretty cheap from Staples. The prices on standard Wireless G routers is way down with all the new technology.
Can't you just connect to the router with a cable until you fix the wireless ?
Nowhere near as convenient, but better than nothing.

Thanks Chipper. I would love to come down to bar night and get it from you, but alas I cannot.

Yeah, I've done that as a temporary solution, but as you said, I miss the convenience. I'd need a super long cable to reach across the house, into the living room. This is a good thing though. I am realizing that I was way to comfortable with the internet at my fingertips every minute of my hometime.
