Ron & Fez were talking about the whole Bittersweet Symphony debacle in which the Verve lost all the song profits and rights to Stones former producer Allen Klein - who held the composition rights to the Stones "The Last Time"...
I've read a bit more about this and am really interested in hearing the orchestral version.
Chris Potter, the Verve sound engineer at the time, said in an interview: "It started with the infamous Andrew Loog Oldham loop which Pete and Si (Jones) played over the top of. That loop, just for the record, is very little. It's a basic chord progression and a couple of bongos, it's not the string riff. It's no big deal. I've seen a couple of things where they say the strings were pinched, that's bullshit."
I've tried to find the Loog Oldham version on the web, but it's nowhere to be found...does anyone have it? I'd love to hear it...
