The last Buck

I have been spending more money than usual for some reason, and have gotten very low on money. I went out to eat last night with my friend and we agreed to split the bill. When all was said and done, I only had one dollar left! I was worried because I like to pick up a cup of coffee on my way into work and a paper and I dont get paid until Thursday.
I remembered I had bought a Win For Life ticket yesterday and Take 5.
I scratched off the ticket and won $15!
I checked the Take 5 and I won $25!
Suddenly I am out of the hole..!

Anyone have any storys of being down to your last buck and suddenly you find or win money?

I used to work in printing, and when I would go to drop off a work order at one of the places that we would farm work out to there was a stationary store next to it that sound scratch off lottery tickets. I had the greatest luck of any place when I would go there, so much so that the guy would cringe when I would enter the store because he knew I would likely win. I was literally down to my last two dollars when I bought a $2 Win For Life game. I won two times and ended up with $60. Within an instant I went from being broke to some good cash to get me through the week until payday.

I actually do have a story similar. Last year I had $0.28 in my checking account and $2.00 in my savings....I was spend crazy. Well I realized that my mortagage payment was coming up which is a couple hundre over a grand. My pay week wasnt until after my mortgage payment gets automatically drafted from my checking.
I was like ooooohhhhh shit. Sweat beads formed on my brow..."what do I do?...what do I do?"
I was thinking about pawning stuff or selling stuff on Ebay.
No good there was no time- i only had a few days to get the money and my I think my overdraft protection only goes up to $500- I'm fukd.

I went to the bank and eplained my situation- basically lying that Ive been having financial troubles... they looked at my accound and there was $3000 + in there.
Ummmm where did that come from?....oh yeah my tax return that I forgot I was getting that was direct deposited- whew.

Two years ago during the summer i started playing poker, i was down to my last 5 or 10 dollars and i entered a big tourney for the heck of it. I ended up getting 2nd and winning 750 dollars and then ended up making about 15k that summer and went to the uk in the fall to play for a 1 mill in a 100 person elimination match, with the world famous phil taylor (that's for mooch, b/c i don't think anyone else knows him) as well as 2500 so me and a friend had a blast in london. It is just weird one minor thing can change everything.

In Atlantic City my 2 buddies and I blew 3 bills each and were puttiinng quarters into the slots. I got to my last quarter and handed it to a friend and said I dont want to be the one to see it go away! My budday got 3 cherries. Then 3 oranges. then he gave me a buck and another buddy a buck and we decided to play one hand each of video poker and we all won. So we stand up...now with about $50 bucks and decide lets play that spinning wheel that no one wins and lets bet on the long shot 40 to 1....and we hit it!!!! We split a bit over 2 grand. We went to eat a good steak dinner, went to the strip club and we all still went home with 3 bills each!! EXTREMELY GREAT NIGHT!!!
