GETTING AROUND A FIREWALL?

SO NO MORE RONFEZ.NET! (i purposely don't own a computer at home because i sit in front of one for 9 hours a day) <br /><br />can you please post a thread in the 11110000111010101 section on the site asking if anyone knows of a site to get around the firewall.</p><p>example i used to use megaproxy.com but now that is blocked too. in megaproxy you can just type the URL in on that site and it will let you look at whatever site you want and the firewall can't read anything. <br /><br />that is what i need.......and not even for porn but just for RF.net. <br /><br />please help....thank you - bill </p>

<p>The most important question is what will they allow you to get to? If you can get to sites that aren't blacklisted you should be able to set up a private home proxy and do your surfing through that.</p><p>There is a free software package out there called <a href="http://www.hottproxy.org/" target="_blank">HoTTProxy</a>, that can help you out. I use it to browse the web free on my phone using a server at work (shhhhhh). If you want to test it out I can create a login and password for you to use my proxy until you get your own set up. PM me if you're interested.</p>

I was stumbling around the internet yesterday and I found this (http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html) site. It looks like exactly what yomudder needs.

Don't have that problem, my "company" computer sets on my desk at my home office and there's no boss here to care what I look at.

Yeah sure, I'll jump at the chance at breaking through a firewall on a U.S. government computer. That seems like a very smart thing to do. I can't imagine any repercussions if one were caught doing something like that.

A good thing to try is to edit your host file (this will work for ther sites you're blocked from as well) Go to:

Windows 2000: C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc
Windows XP: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

In that folder you'll see a file called hosts. Right click on it and choose 'Open With' and open it with Notepad.

Underneath:
127.0.0.1 localhost

add the following 2 entries:

64.21.37.232 disney.com (or another site that isn't blocked)
disney.com 64.21.37.232

(64.21.37.232 is the ip address of Ronfez.net)

Save the file, restart your PC and give it a shot. This isn't 100% but most of the time it works.

use this site and type in www.ronfez.net in the bottom box, that might get you there if you don't have google blocked. uses google as a proxy.
