The times I've gotten yearly packages, I paid all upfront and didn't have any monthly payments that year.

I while ago they were US and Canada based, but I believe they are all now in India.

Also the lifetime plan is not a good deal. It is the life of your radio, you can transfer the plan to a new radio. So if you get that and your radio is broken out of warranty you can't move the plan to a replacement radio.

Is anybody CURRENTLY using an app that will keep XM streaming online (without shutting down after a period of time)? I've been using something like that for years, with varying levels of success/discontent. The most recent thing I used was a Yahoo widget that someone developed. The widget worked great at first, and it will still work at times, but not enough to give me my Ron and Fez recordings reliably.

Before that widget, I used a couple of other similar freebie applications over the years, but I think they are now so officially dead that they're not worth talking about.

Anybody using anything like this that is working fairly reliably RIGHT NOW? PLEASE let me know, the lack of a reliable online streamer is messing up my Ron and Fez listening bad, I catch up with the shows a lot on the weekends and it's now so bad that I pretty much haven't heard them over the last couple of weeks--I need to get something else running FAST.

I still use the delphi mifi 2go (love it) and have a brand new boxed one that is my "spare"...I bought it on e-bay for $30 ...try looking there if you haven't already.

My XMP3 pretty much stopped working today. It will just say "Powering Up..." or "Please Wait...".

From what I found online that means it's pretty much useless now. Gotta call Pioneer tomorrow. :furious:

I have an XM Roadie, that was working fine, then over the last few weeks the signal started to fad in and out. I now only get one bar on the signal level, 2+ weeks ago, I had three bars.
Here is what I did to troubleshoot, moved the antenna around, in the past it worked ok inside on a window sill, now it fads in and out. I attached another XM antenna that I use for my INNO. This did not fix the issue of it signal fad. I have now extended the antenna outside, facing south, still only one bar.

Anyone have information on XM/Sirrus changing satellites or lowering levels?

If you have any Ideas, let me know.

iPhone app is SUPPOSE to be out before the end of the month.

We'll see.

$13 a month for new subscribers...$3 extra on your current bill if you're an existing subscriber (and you get online back too).

That makes it probably the most expensive entertainment app on the iPhone. I think it'll do well initially, but we'll see if it has legs.

If the iPhone app does do well, Sirius would be smart to phase out developing portable units and just incorporate into smartphones as their portable unit.

I bought some of the stock last week and it was up 25% today in anticipation of the release. There's a lot of optimism about the application.

Ultimately, I don't know how big an impact it'll have for the company long term, but it's certainly peaked investor interest which is good for their cash flow problems.

just replaced my delphi myfi2go that took a giant shit 4 months ago with a new xmxpress rc. nice color screen got done with the installation and my personal truck has a casette player so i can use that to get audio. I also bought the universal xpress car kit to move the unit from my personal truck to my work van.

I noticed it seems like u need an extra adapter that of course is sold seperately to get audio if u don't have a casette player or aux jack. is that right or am i missing something? (my work truck is currently down so i havent been able to check, but doesn't seem to work without the casette in my personal.)

I put my good ol' Roady XT in. The FM mod is not working well.
I tried 88.1, 94.3, 107.9 and none are working well at all.
Any other NYC area people have an idea for a clear station?

XM works fine, iPhone works fine, as does anything with a 3.5 output.

Well I'm getting screwed by XM Canada in a roundabout way,I bought a ski-fi over a month ago and it worked great for 2 days then it started locking up every 5-10 minutes then it was getting no reception at all,long story short I got all the tech help I could stand and sent it back, no problem.So last week the reseller some scums called Synnex informed me that I had not sent back one of the manuals so I could not get a refund on this piece of shit, I called up and after a while I just fucking lost it and called them on there bullshit! I never unpacked any manuals or cords that I didn't need just in case the radio was defective, I told them they were lying and there was no way to prove it either way so I was getting ripped off. So now I'm getting a new radio back "someday" that I don't want or need. I want to cancel my sub but what else can I do XMRO sucks half the time and I can't trust it to record when I'm not at home it stops every 2 hours or so unless refreshed ( is there an app. for that?) maybe audible but I like it live to start the morning,anyway is there any way possible for a dumb Canuck to finagle a US sirius- XM sub :help::flush:

Apparently Pioneer only makes a certain number of each
type of unit and then stops production.

This means that I get a refurbished XMP3 to replace my broken one.

Plus, the warranty isn't updated on the replacement so when it
breaks in 6 months I am forced to buy a new one.

OK so I have to upgrade my equipment because my 1st gerneration Orbiter ( yes that really big one ) has finally pooped the bed.

I'm thinking about getting the Stiletto 2 but have a few questions that hopefully any of you that own it can answer.

With regards to the recording function how does it work ? What I mean is if I use it in my car and something's on during a time when I'm not in my car or it starts/ends when I'm not in there would it record w/o the car being on ?

Can the recordings be easily transferred from the unit to a computer and then to an iPod and if so is there any special equipment or program that needs to be used ?

They're running a special on the Sirius site now selling it at a discounted price ( $ 184.98 )but you have to buy the home kit w/ it.

I feel that I'd never use it at home so that might be a waste.

Would I still have to run an antenna outside of my house to get reception ( like I used to have to do w/ my Boombox ) ?

Does that price seem reasonable and if not any suggestions on where I could get the best deal ? Neither WalMart nor Best Buy seemed to have a better price than Sirius itself.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Just remember that that way, you'll need to be in range of a wi-fi signal, unless you've got an iPhone and you connect via 3G.

I don't undestand what the issue is. Is the satellite antenna giving you issues or are you trying to get the FM transmitter to send to your radio?

If you're trying to hardwire the satellite antenna, I can help with that. It's not grossly hard to do if you're even slightly technically inclined.

If it's an FM transmitter issue, get a new head unit (less than 100 bucks) that has a front AUX input.

Get a new head unit. Listening over the FM transmitter is shit. When you get a new car, you can pull it out.

My gf bought me a xmp3i for Christmas. What is the best deal going for a one unit xm subscription right now? I just need the standard xm service, including ron & fez. Maybe online streaming, too.

I have recently purchased a new XMp3i and a docking station, SXABB2. The radio, while in the docking station, while playing recorded content, keeps rebooting.

The radio will play less than 1 min of content, then reboot. The Docking station works fine while playing live XM.

I have rebooted the radio, pulled the battery, defaulted it back to the factory settings, and it still reboots after ~60 Seconds of playing recorded content.

The firm ware on the radio is 1.32, so I think its up to date.

Any ideas?
