I think I broke my best friend

I loaded some songs onto my Helix as I have done many times before, and I clicked the "disconnect device" button on Napster and then the helix goes into "Scanning files" mode.  Well its been stuck "Scanning files" for several minutes, so I took out the battery and it says its "Scanning files" again... argh... anyone who can help, please do!!!!
