It just dawned on me that I watched Tom Morello play at a small club in DC almost 20 yrs ago.
He was in the opening band & we had no clue who they were. I just remember nobody was at the club. Maybe 20 - 30 people. I think they were opening for either TSOL, GUN (from scottland) , Enuff Z'nuff, or the Black Crowes. I forgot. But those are the only shows I went to at the now defunct BAYOU.

All I remember is they blew the headliners away mostly becuz of this kid playing guitar and making sounds we had never heard before. The guy just stood out. I bought a "tape" of his band from him. He walked up to us and asked us if we wanted to buy one and join his mailing list. Really nice kid too.

I thought LOCK UP was going to break. But they just broke up.

Really weird - I never put the 2 together. But I recently went looking for LOCK UP online and flipped when I noticed that kid who sold me the tape was Tom.

The band is called Lock Up. ............. and here is an audio clip
