<p>my roomate deleted his internet explorer and while trying to fix it i had to open command prompt</p><p>my computer has dos?</p><p>is that where they sore all the cookies of the porn i dl my porn? </p>

<p>a form of DOS is the base of all windows through XP, not sure about vista</p><p>and you can do SOOOO much with DOS, 99% of the people have no idea, but the command structure in dos is a lot like LINUX.</p>

Technically speaking, DOS was killed a long time ago, but Windows does still include a command prompt and you can still use a lot of the old DOS commands. I believe Windows 98 was the last version to actually use DOS.

Vista's new under the hood.</p><p>The Command Prompt is a program that gives you access to your hard disk and is compatible with DOS programs (this varies on 64bit OSs), but DOS it ain't. </p>
