<p>a form of DOS is the base of all windows through XP, not sure about vista</p><p>and you can do SOOOO much with DOS, 99% of the people have no idea, but the command structure in dos is a lot like LINUX.</p>

Technically speaking, DOS was killed a long time ago, but Windows does still include a command prompt and you can still use a lot of the old DOS commands.&nbsp; I believe Windows 98 was the last version to actually use DOS.
