R&F and the SkyFi3

<p>Hey all,</p><p>I have the SkyFi3 and have set it up to record the replays of Ron and Fez (From midnight to 3:00 am).&nbsp; However, recently, it's been acting very strange.</p><p>Even though it is on and recording during a replay, when I try to listen to that replay it gets skipped.&nbsp; The commercials are still there, but the actual replay is skipped.&nbsp; It shows up in the song list, but it doesn't actually play if I select it and the thing goes on to the next &quot;song&quot;(commercial).&nbsp; This happened yesterday with everything but one portion of the show, and it happened today with the entire show (And the O&amp;A replay as well).</p><p>Has anyone else had this happen?&nbsp; Any solutions or workarounds?&nbsp; It's killing me that I've missed the show two days in a row now.</p><p>I'm recording the replays because of the pad data problem of recording them live, but so far this has been much, much worse than a little pad data problem.</p>

Most times when I record 202 shows the tracks will be named whatever the last commercial was. So look at the length of the track, maybe thier's just a commercial or two first?

<p>Sorry about posting in the wrong forum.</p><p>Even though the live pad data messes up, the replays actually work properly (They all say XM 202 or Thursday Replay or similar, but at least they don't merge with the previous commercials).</p><p>This isn't a case of the commercials merging with the show.&nbsp; I might have something like this on my list:</p><p>Commercial1</p><p>XM 202 -- This would be Ron and Fez or the 9 second Ron and Fez commercial.&nbsp; We'll assume it's Ron and Fez</p><p>Commercial2</p><p>If I select XM202, it instantly skips to Commercial2.&nbsp; It sucks.</p><p>Actually now I've turned off my SkyFi3 and turned it back on, and then *everything* disappeared.&nbsp; Then I did it again and all the replays are now deleted, however this morning's O&amp;A recorded live is on there (Also, all of the replay commercials).&nbsp; Though portions of this morning's live show is deleted as well.</p><p>I was just curious if any other SkyFi3 users had experienced this before I go through the hassle of calling customer service.</p><p>Edit: I also saw a thread at XM411 with someone with the same problem as me, but no resolution to it.&nbsp; I figured here would be a much greater concentration of 202 listeners than XM411, so I posted here.&nbsp; I have a feeling this error only applies to XM 202, though I wouldn't know because I don't record anything else.</p>

<p>I just spoke with Delphi and they said it may be a problem related to the new firmware update (1.17).&nbsp; He said he'll call me tomorrow or a little later and let me know, as they are apparently speaking with someone at XM.</p><p>&nbsp;This is my first experience with Delphi Customer Service.&nbsp; Let's see how good they are.</p><p>If anyone out there has a SkyFi3 and records the replays, I wouldn't recommend updating just yet. </p>

In case anyone was following along, Delphi never called me back. Of course.

But they have released a 1.18 firmware which *seems* to fix the problem. Pad data is still messed up, of course, but I can live with that. As long as I have my sweet, sweet recording.

Nope, looks that didn't fix it. And I lost all of yesterday's O&A and Ron and Fez show. And let's just say I'm none too happy about it because I didn't listen to them yet. If I could just go back to 1.16 I wouldn't have this problem!

Does anyone that owns a SkyFi3 have any updates on improvements or lack thereof? I like the things it's supposed to do, but if they've not fixed it with firmware, why bother?

I'm still having problems with this thing and was curious if anyone else out there was too.

First off, the PAD data is still incorrect with recordings. It'd be nice if it were correct, but I'll live with it.

But secondly, every once in a while the thing freezes and on some restarts it erases a bunch of content for no reason at all. Meaning I miss some Ron and Fez that I wanted to listen to. Anyone else with SkyFi 3s have this problem? Any solutions?

i've had a few problems with mine but nothing major

for instance the first segment is sometimes identified as unknown song (or artist)

and sometimes shows will be identified as a best of week instead of that days replays

i'll have to check my firmware and see what version i'm using
