I say Jose Vidro. He is batting 3rd in the MAriner lineup, being a DH so he will be well rested and he is not even getting drafted. Screw drafting a second baseman and snag him in the last round.

I say that's a pretty wimpy sleeper pick since he's well know, has been a solid two bagger for a long time and if anything, is only losing steam over the last few years.

Here's mine and I'll stay with my favorite team since I know them best. Adam Lind. If he gets in the lineup with the Jays he'll be a very solid hitter with decent power to all fields. He's no 50 hr guy, but 20-30 is not a reach either. The only problem is that the Jays are stacked in the outfield. They have Vernon Wells in center and he's going nowhere. Reed Johnson in left might actually be a better fielder than Wells (no shit) and is a real good lead off hitter with a good average and OBP, along with some good power numbers for a guy in the one spot and also only split last year. In right, Rios is really coming together and should also be all-star level as he was last year. To be honest, their is a good chance that the Jays trade one of them, and if so, Lind will be one hell of a late round steal. If it doesn't happen and he stays in trip A with the exception of injuries, he'll surely rip them up down there too but it won't help you out so there is a risk. But the kid can play and is definitely MLB hitter ready, yet not totally fielding ready for the majors.

i wouldn't draft Vidro for any of my teams. the guy never seems to stay healthy.

it sure is hard to be a sleeper these days with so many sites dedicated to fantasy...but if in a larger league and want to wait for a catcher or maybe a 2 catcher league alot of people like Chris Iannetta.

I don't think Mark Teahen or Alex Gordon would qualify as sleepers, but good late picks. Also Markakis on Baltimore. i just find it hard to label sleepers now.

Estaban Loaiza had a really nice end of year run last year that may spill over. matt Garza for the Twins.

its true sleeper is a tough term to define these days.... Is it people who aren't known to the majority... or is it guys (last year) like Frank Thomas or Rahul Ibanez who preformed at a much higher level then anyone expected.

Garza is a good looking prospect but I think he may be hurt?

Markakis might even be too good to be a sleeper if you're drafting with fans of the AL East...he was just so good last year in the second half of the season.

I was in a draft last week in a keeper league where an unintentional sleeper was Kevin Youkilis. I drafted him as my back-up 1B, and everyone kinds groaned, like, "he was still out there?...that's a lot of cheap runs & RBIs"

Personally, one guy I think can really turn some heads if he makes the team out of camp, is Joey Votto (1B). The guy seems to just know how to hit, much like Markakis.

Ryan Shealey isn't a bad option either. he will probably only go for about 25 HRs, but may get close to 100 RBI.
