Let's look at this... R&F get discussed on the D&M show, but D&M don't get mentioned on the R&F show. And O&A work with which show?

D&M can't take on O&A, and they know it. Don has always had a problem with R&F (WJFK listeners, help me out here), and D&M can't understand why R&F do so well without any celebrity guests, or a real producer.

Bottom line, the easiest thing to do is to put down something that you feel threatened by. Especially, when you have nothing else to combat them with.

Let 'em talk. Listeners may wonder about the R&F show, and once they hear both shows, the choice is simple.

Hold on, I'll check the D&M message board. Oh, they don't have one.....

You know, I kinda like Don and Mike. But it seems like everytime there is a mention of homosexuality, Fez's name gets mentioned. It kinds gets OLD, like Don and Mike.

And let's face facts Don Germonimo is the biggest HomoPhobe in the world, followed by Opie. I think they are repressing some homosexual feelings.

don and mike, "radio gods"??? hahahahahahaha where the fuck did they get that from, its funny how they crack on the rednecks and hicks who call their show, yet most of the cities they're syndicated dont even have a McDonalds, only reason they are in newyork is because infinity is retarded and of course they had to compromise in order to satisfy the needs of other shows that are actually funny. Dont pay no mind to those two i tried listening to them for about a month (only cuz ron and fez said to give them a chance) but they sucked, and how cool are ron and fez to encourage us to listen to them while they're talking trash about fezzy.
oh and one more thing, how many god damn times can someone talk about his own wife over and over and over and over. HELLO dont you have a show to do, I never seen his wife but if she is hot its no wonder why he has to kiss her ass on the air for so much, and obviously he gets paid very nicely and its funny how he has to remind everyone how paid he is by talking about his $900 pants, who cares??

Don and Mike isn't exactly my drink of water but they sometimes have me laughing. And it sure beats the radio chick in my opinion. And if Don's a homophobe...let him be. He doesn't stop gays from doing what they do. He just makes fun of it. My only complaint is that he seems hypocritical when it comes to words. "Fag" is every other word out of his mouth but he got mad when I guy said "nigger" on ther air. If you don't like one...you shouldn't like any.

I think that there is another message board that has LOTS of gripes about Don and Mike...Ill give thick heads a hint: it was the show they replaced (the host was a woman)...I am sure that we can go on for hours about Don and Mike, and there show, but why cause problems?? Don Geronimo has a BIG problem with Ron and Fez. I'll submit two items of evidence:

1) I'm a D.C. listener. I listen to the show on SU, because the 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. tape delay broadcast is like swiss cheese - filled with commercial breaks where they do not belong. At any given point in the show, during the middle of a bit, whatever, the show will be stopped abruptly for a commercial break. Now, if you wanted to play devil's advocate, you could argue that, given the time and placement of the show (late nights), the extra commercial breaks are necessary revenue. I think that's a load of shit, but I digress. However, the show is messed around with in other ways. Just as recently as this week, I was listening to the show and I know I heard the board op (at WJFK) playing sound bites DURING the broadcast. I may sound paranoid (or perrynoid), but I think some of the drops they played were for the Don and Mike show (one of the voices sounded a lot like Rudy Martsky, if you D&M listeners can relate). Basically, the show is fucked with in just about every way it can be.

2) Don and Mike have Ron and Fez's midday slot. Regardless about whether or not R&F are better suited for a night time show, middays is the more favorable time slot, and that's the one that Don and Mike got (or stole). In a twisted sense, they "won". And yet, even with this "victory", Don still feels the need to take shots at R&F. Because he's a bit obsessed with them. He knows that he and his show will never be as popular in NYC as Ron and Fez, no matter how hard he tries.

Meanwhile, R&F have moved past it all, and I repect them for it.

I personally like the way the new line-up has taken hold. D&M are for a reasonably different audience than R&F, and I've basically been addicted to WNEW since around the spring, befoer the new line-up took shape. Honestly, the placement of each show is more appropriate to each demographic. That said, I've grown to like D&M, like R&F MORE in this timeslt to which it's better suited, and I personally haven't noticed MANY refs to R&F or "Fez being a fag" on D&M. They do entirely different shows, and I could never understand people "taking sides" of one show over another, unless it comes to Stern--whose show & career have become boringly fixated on the idea that everyone else on the radio has "stolen his act". I like D&M, and I like R&F. It actually IS possible for some to like EVERY show. I'm sure that any ref to Fez by Don Geronimo is just kidding around---compare his remarks to anything Stern might say about ANYONE ELSE on the radio. It's just different, and D&M are not destructive toward the guys on their own station as far as I can tell. I like the WHOLE WNEW FAMILY OF SHOWS, and enjoy all of them for the differences that they have between each other's material and formats. If one isn't your cup of tea, then go listen to someone else, or TAPE THE SHOWS THAT YOU LIKE, keep the good ones, and play them whenever you feel like listening to them. I see no reason to HATE one over another. The exception to this rule, for me, would be Larry King, Paul Harvey, and annoying useless a-holes in that particular ilk. Yes, I HATE them. Marry King sucks donkey-schlong, and isn't even on the scope for me. I could name others, but why waste more space here. So those of you full of hate for one or the other, just lighten up, and don't listen, don't keep track, and continue to worship one of the most underrated, funniest shows on the radio: RON AND FEZ!!
(Of course, I may be biased toward D&M because I call their show once in a while and make them laugh their asses off. Last week I was so repulsive that they awarded me a prize for being an A-Hole: 2 round trip tickets to anywhere in the US. It was a nice shock!)
